Regalis prefers to go by Regal and never discloses his living name and it seems to be hard for anyone else to find out on their own anyway. He however full admits his reason for being in Hell and doesn't seem to regret it or being in Hell to begin with. As he puts it, he was tired of his mother and father's homophobic bullshit and after they disowned him he decided to go home, grab a piece of cake and set the place on fire before leaving. his 'parents' , asleep inside, perished. He was eventually caught and died later in prison from undiagnosed/untreated brain cancer. When he came to he was in Hell, not surprised by this or minding his new form for that matter he decided to test out any abilities he may have, he discovered despite having wings, they were useless and he couldn't fly, at most he seemed to be able to jump pretty high and was physically stronger than he had been as a human. At some point he'd ran into Alastor who charmed him into deal making, Alastor decided however that he was too valuable to be used as canon fodder or to do petty business dealings on his behalf, he kept him as a comfort creature of sorts, finding Regal's passion for things and sense of humor amusing for himself and it really wasn't a secret Regal also enjoyed Alastor's company and found him rather attractive, and genuinely caring for him. He describes their relationship with Niffty and Husk especially as a familial sort of bond, Treating Niffty like he would his daughter and Husky like the grumpy but well meaning Uncle. the only thing Alastor asked of him aside from their mutual relationship was to help at the Hotel once things had been established, he acts as a promoter, selling the good news about the hotel, due to his charisma and ability to flee pretty fast just in case it was the best way he could help.
