Aw thank you!!! I feel like my id is too traditional looking, yours is more creative! Shows your personality. And I have friends who are against me getting them, as well as my sister, and my mom is totally against it, I hate how others can rule your life at times. Can I ask what made you decide to get them?

hm...I have very thick hair, so it looked bad wearing it long and short, until I dared dyeing it red and blue when I was about sixteen.
A friend of mine already had dreads, which I liked very much, but I wasn't too sure as well if they would suit me. Then for my school graduation, I wanted to have a special hairdo, and as everyone dressed really posh and ceremonial for the graduation party, I decided this was the best time for dreads
It really takes a little more courage compared to other hairdos. In case you don't like them, you can always put a shawl or a dreadlock cap on it, until you hair has grown enough to cut the dreads off. I don't wear all my hair as dreads, I left some normal streaks of hair around my face. So maybe you could start with four or five dreads on one side and then check if you'd like more

Oh nice choice to go for the dreads at that point!! Thats very creative!

I never got to fully dye my hair deep red until I graduated high school. My parents were finally more lenient with me and allowed me to do things I normally wouldnt with my hair. I will definately try to go for a few on top and leave normal ones beneath to see what works for me. But putting beads and making them colorful sounds such fun The girl I saw that one day after school had beautiful japanese looking chopsticks in her thick long dreds that I just thought looked so rad. Thanks for your help!

deep red sounds very cool. I try to keep taking photographic proofs of my different hairdos, to see how it changed over the years.
I always turn around if I see someone else with dreads, they always turn out different.

I haven't done much arty stuff recently, but it's funny how fast my scrapbook grew when I actually had to work for my final exams Luckily it's only two weeks now, then I'm free to drink coffee for two days and write stories for two nights.

Ahaha! I'm procrasting right now with art too! During finals I actually made more art instead of studied for exams (What I should have been doing.) Yes I'm at community college right now for one more year until I transfer to a university. I'm still not sure where I'm going to transfer. I plan on getting my Bachelors of Art in sculpture and eventually masters. I want to have a living as a fine artist, make art each day and have it hanging in museums.

How about you? Your still in school too right? What career are you working towards?

And photographic proofs!!! That sounds sooo cool Very artsy indeed! I like.

I finished school four years ago, now I'm about to finish my Bachelor Dissertation for Germanistik (that is German Language and Literature) and History of Arts. Wanna write the last pages today, aaaah.
During summer I'll do an internship in scene design in a theater, and next semester I'll start a whole new college career with Graphic Design.
I find it very courageous that you plan to make a living as an artist. I keep my fingers crossed for you. Most Graphic Designers do freelance work, and that sounds very scary to me, but I hope I can combine Design with Language and History to expand the range of jobs I could do.
And I hope I won't do procrastination in Graphic Design, because the procrastinating I do now will be the actual studying later

That sounds so exciting!!! i am happy for you that you get to do what you like and are interested in, graphic designers are getting well payed jobs usually, no? And your internship sounds so fun, Is it paied or voulnteer might I ask? Even if it is not paied those internships you learn so much just by helping out. I did a internship at a art gallery near my college for a semester before it shut down and I gained so much knowledge. Are you going back to school because you realized graphic design was something you wanted to do? Thats good your pursuing your passion as well!

Ah yes and thank you very much, Actually what is more scarry to me are the years that I will be the "starving artist" and be very poor trying to get my career started. I know those years are ahead and it scares me to think of them. And lol we can always make time to study later

It depends on the quality and originality of your work, how much money you make as a graphic designer. But if you're really good, there's surely a big amount of money behind it.
My internship is voluntary, unfortunately. But today, the first day, started great, because there won't be much to do in the coming weeks, so we're allowed to use all the paint and canvas and do what we like

I want to do graphic design for several years now, but I wasn't good enough at that time. Instead I was accepted for Literature immediately, so I first wanted to finish that and developed my skills for graphic design over the years.

I can't imagine doing anything else than a creative job, that's why I'll also get through the starving years

Thats great!!! Thats such a positive aspect to see it, not that you are struggling just to get by but that you are doing something worthwhile and meaningful during that time. I hope to be able to say that I have come along that way also as I mature into the artist I hope to be someday. How did the internship go? I'm so sorry I am barely replying to all of these.
