Very grateful, vad, that you're busy visualizing the life and times of Veronica Kingston.
You have so effectively fused Ms. Hayward with VK in my mind that her smarts and guts, her knowing eyes and warm but no-nonsense voice resonate vividly with each tale and pic.
These scenes from a noir dreamscape are no small diversions at a time when our daily lives are so restricted by a crisis overwhelming our romantic imaginations with stark horrors.

'Loved the quintessential noir notion that even a bad guy has a sense of humor, though, naturally, it's perverse and intent on humiliating a tough gal so she giggled 'til she gave.
Ditto the trope where a PI doesn't know what the Hell is going on, gets worked over for no good reason, AND somehow comes out on top in the end.
If Veronica calls the cops on Vendredi and he's caught with the brush and he's brought to court on charges of assault and (Wait for it!) menacing, would she have to stand as the sole witness?
Just wondering...

Hi! I just recently discovered your page when looking up Wonder Woman Stories & I really enjoyed them a lot. My ABSOLUTE favorite has to be Wonder Woman: Mister Scream Series along with some others. But I LOVED Mister Scream because of the fight between WW vs Backbreaker. I'm a fight fan & I enjoyed reading fight of Wonder Woman claiming victory from the jaws of Death at Backbreaker's hands. I see you haven't done WW for a while but I hope you consider doing some more WW stories since they were very enjoyable. Thanks!

Thanks for that. I've introduced various playmates for VK during the series but I've tended to avoid making too much of them. However Eve is quite a lot of fun to write as she is unpredictable and slightly wacko so I may well use her again.

"The Mysterious Mrs. Mason" is satisfying twisty and twisted, but I'd be twisting truth if I didn't admit that spitfire Eve REALLY sparked my interest, as she obviously did VK's. While the thought that she might settle in to play sides-squeezing sidekick to our hard-boiled heroine is not unappealing, I do fear that it might precipitate a spate of mutual damsel-in-distress yarns.
Waitaminnut! What the heck's wrong with THAT? Consider my qualms disarmed.
