I've read Coin Locker Babies (I hate how the movie got delayed till 2008, I want my Sean Lennon/Hashi goodness!), Almost Transparent Blue, and In the Miso Soup. I'm waiting on Sixtey-Nine, and I've seen Audition.

Sounds like you've read most, if not all, of his work available in English. I've only read CLB and ATB but yup, I agree his stories are quite unique, to say the least. I didn't know that there was a plan to make a movie based on CLB. I wonder how it will turn out... Thanks for the info!

I'm really curious about it, according to IMDB the cast includes Val Kilmer, Asia Argento, Liv Tyler, and Tadanobu Asano. Did I read the book wrong, because I was under the impression the characters were pretty much all Japanese. Its been reported on several times in Rolling Stone, I hope the project doesn't die (it was supposed to be out in 2006 now its at 2008).

Hahaha, yeah, I suppose it's kinda like how Hollywood made a remake of "Shall We ダンス?" with Richard Gere in it and of "リング" with Naomi Watts in it, although this one is going to be based on a Japanese novel instead of a Japanese movie. Hey, at least Sean Lennon's mother is Japanese!

I decided not to submit my portfolio, my teacher has rejected to many pictures to make it up...you choose bunnies for your concentration? I'm going with "fabric in ordinary life with two colour schemes" I hate it...I wish I'd just gone with smoke like my original plan...
