# About me

Hello there, I'm Christiane! I've had the wonderful luck to be able to pursue my passion in the arts! I love taking portraits of all ages. I studied Photography & Design at the Art Institute of Portland where I've worked with some wonderful instructors.

When I'm not photographing, I also enjoy time with my furry family members as well as my god-daughter and her family. My side hobbies include painting pottery, floral design, graphic design, and I've begun exploring scrapbooking too! You might also catch me relaxing with a video game or reading.

People and the beautiful natural backdrop that the North West provides inspire me to take one of a kind portraits. I primarily focus on using natural lighting (I think it's the most flattering), with supplemented light as need. My photographs stand out with their close composition and shallow depth of field to highlight subjects. While a lot of my portraits have a calm and natural feel, I also love capturing random sparks of energy that my subjects have.

there on paper and are under my mattress getting flat again. 24" x 36" and 18" x 24"
