I drink way too much tea and I love cinnamon. I climb trees on a whim, and occasionally break into opera while cooking dinner. Sometimes my children join in. ^_^I'm 35, divorced, mother of two perfectly raucous boys to whom I would give the world given the chance. I make a living sewing for what strikes my fickle muse at the time, and it works for now.

This is a picture offline of the costume I have. Im going to lace up the back like this [link]
since the zipper broke, and I'd much rather have the laced up back than a zipper. The ribbon will be orange, and I want to add more orange to the dress overall. Do you have any ideas how I can?

Hmm...I'd personally make sure that the orange isn't "in your face" orange which may clash with the whole theme of the costume. Try a darker kind of burnt and/or buttery orange.
Make the additions subtle but noticeable, like orange layers of sparkle tulle or organza here and there (helps make the dress look a bit shabbier, too), or some orange stitching. You can put some orange in any props you may use, too. ^_^
