( LIKE A CANNON || ) heres one frat boi delivered to ur doorstep{💀} HIS fingers flipped through the pages. he lost his copy of the great gatsby and sadly had to buy a new one to replace the lovingly worn copy he once had. he stood around in the classic section, slowly adding to his stack of books. he slipped the copy of the great gatsby into his stack until he remembered he might as well buy some tea while he was here.
{💀} BUT along the way, he ran into a young woman who seemed to be undecided between two books to buy- both subjects related to music. she was certainly cute with rose pink lips, a smooth softness to the edges of her face and bouncy short brown hair. for a moment, he was hesitant as she was probably some college student who didn't want to talk to strangers like him. but something of old that loved the wild winds and the endless fast paced journeys urged him to go with it anyway.
{💀} AFTER all, the worst that could happen was rejection and he could just slip out of her life after that like any other stranger.
{💀} AN easy grin appeared on his face as he pointed to one book. his eyes held nothing but glittering amusement.❝ I would go with the one on the left. I've read that one and it was pretty good but rather slow introduction. ❞

i luv u SO OOoooo much. i. the local library was one of venus's favorite places to visit: she spent hours upon hours there, skimming through books and reading old news papers. today, however, she had one goal in mind: getting a book on music history to brush up on it.ii. the only problem ? the young woman didn’t know which book to choose. from the introductory information about the books on the backs of them, one was the intriguing story of the beginning of hip-hop and rap, while the other detailed the similarities between classical and rock music. both looked so interesting, and she felt helpless about choosing one over the other.
iii. that is, until she heard the man, of course.
iv. looking up from the books, she’s immediately intrigued by his features: beautiful blue eyes, a scruffy beard, a chiseled jawline … he was, quite frankly, a very handsome man.
v. sheepishly, she puts the book that was in her left hand back, keeping the book on hip-hop history in her grasp." oh, you're flattering me, heh ... "

i. tucking the book underneath her arm, she reaches out to shake his hand, still obviously sheepish because he was just so ... pretty. she didn't think she'd ever seen a man so perfect looking.
ii. releasing his hand with a little giggle, she uses her now free hand to tuck some loose strands of her hair behind her ear, adjusting the little butterfly clips that made a home near her hairline. she gives the taller a large grin, rocking on her heels. " oh, c'mon ... i'm certainly not a goddess. although, my dad did name me after her, and the planet itself. he said venus was always his favorite. "

i. xavier looked down at his phone, clicking the screen on to see josh tillman's face sulking in a blue and red light.

ii. xavier swiftly skipped the track on pandora, the album cover now being replaced with a black and white photo of a masked villain.
"tripping off the beat kinda, dripping off the meat grinder. heat niner, pimping, stripping, soft sweet minor."
iii. xavier smiled to himself, sticking his phone back into the pocket of his sweatshirt.
iv. new york was a city the tattoo-ruined male didn't visit all that often. but, today he has a purpose to be there.
v. that purpose being: performing a show, getting drunk, smoking weed, and hopefully getting laid.
vi. but, all that was fairly far away, it was barely even noon, xavier had arrived in the city the night before, had gotten some rest, and was ready to tackle the day. and that started with some sweet, sweet mcdonald's.
vii. stepping into the restaurant, his nostrils were filled with the delicious scent of grease and poverty. he ran a hand down the bridge of his nose, sniffling as he walked over to the short line, with him being the third person to be added to the line.
viii. leading the line was an elderly lady, slowly counting pennies and nickels on the counter, behind her was a woman, one who's face perplexed xavier. she looked oddly familiar.
ix. pulling out his phone again, he pressed his thumb to the fingerprint scanner, taking a brief glance at the woman once again before typing away on his screen. his theory was confirmed.
x. putting his phone away once again,he pulled one earbud out of his ear, very gently flicking the back of venus's arm.
"hey, you that youtube chick, aren't you? the ukulele player?"

i. fuck, was she tired. the night before, she had a bit of an argument with her mother - over money, of course - and that left her upset, anxiety-ridden, and absolutely exhausted.
ii. so exhausted, in fact, that venus had broken her routine: instead of waking up at her usual 9 am to make breakfast, that 9 am turned into an 11:30 am, and of course, she didn’t have shit to make breakfast.
iii. the nearest bronx mcdonald’s had to do.
iv. rubbing at her temples, she prayed that the ac in this place turned on soon; new york had relentless heat because of all the buildings trapping it within the city bounds. and, although venus had rolled out of bed with her pajamas (a combo of a tank top and some shorts), she felt herself sweating.
v. she knew the lady in front of her; a sweet old hispanic woman who often sewed little things for people. venus couldn’t be mad at her, especially because she received a knitted sweater from the other - all too big, but a gift nonetheless.
vi. she weighed her options in her head; if she left now, the nearest bodega would surely have cuban bread, some eggs, and fresh cheese. her mouth watered, closing her eyes with a small hum as she tasted the combination her mouth, and smelled the eggs cooking on her stove.
vii. the flick on her arm startles her, blinking from her dream meal and turning her head to look behind her.
viii. sometimes, venus forgot who she was.
viv. a sheepish smile spreads across her features, brushing a few strands of her bedhead away from her face.“ um, yeah, thats me. hi. ”
