Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.

You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I offer only the truth, nothing more.

Take: The Red Pill
Take: The Blue Pill

spyed, nobody has ever done this before.
I know. That's why it's going to work.

Nice photographs. I have been following your contest entries for 4 years now, and well, sorry to ask but what has happend to you? you dissapeared 4 months ago from the top listings in Hannover, and havent exibited any act from than on? I admire(d) your work, what an eye you have. But what the hells is this. 2 photographs that are not even that good. Why don't you post some of the older stuff? stuff I have seen, like your girlfriend. That photograph you took from her that got you those $1000?

hi lasombra,
I thank you for the critic on my picture [memory of a bruise] . Scathing can be productive.

Deciding which art is good or bad is in my eyes not possible. You can say that the artist X uses a certain technic bad or good. But you cannot say that the work itself is bad. Because art is free from that. Art is all that, which one tries to express - be it for others or for oneself.

Some people came to tell me 'I wish I could paint or draw like you .. I cannot draw.' My basic answer is then: everyone can draw and paint, it depends on what you want to express and why. So if you want to take a pen and draw a dog, you need to know what you want to be your picture like. Shall it look natural, so you for sure might need training in it to let it look like that. But then again - it is something you created with your imagination, hands and heart combined with that experience, and that is something so wonderful that people call it art.

You can dislike a person's art - but you cannot criticise a subjective opinion about art. And the persons that select those daily dev's for sure go after their mood in this special moment they decide.

Anyways,
this is a contentious issue, and actually no point to discuss. I'm off to look if I find something nice in your gallery now.

Thanks for commenting on Keeper of the Light. Yes, I could have used a multiple exposure in camera (although my camera doesn't have that option), The point was to find two already exposed pictures that would work well together and sandwich them, thereby creating a new work. So I think you missed the point, but thanks anyway.

hello puppy! Such a sweet D you can sometimes be!

I joined devart after your constant whining about it And NO, im not going to submitt my photographs. I take pride and joy in them and i wont let people i dont know take them off their screens and using them for god knows what! Og come on D, tell me if you think that that is not going to happen, where are YOUR old, GOOD photographs. I know you have the prints and negatives at home, but why dodnt u post them m??

Miss you, and wish you were here to do all those crazy things we did last time we were in Paris together. See Im still not allowed in "MusΓ©e d'Orsay" because of that thing we did last time we were here together. HAHA when i think about it, you are totally insane and i LOVE you for it. You are one of a kind, and im so glad that you speak to me again. Im so glad that you are a part of my life again.

You know you should thank your buddy fredrik for that

Well, no point in telling you kiss or hug, since we've done it all by now !!.

How time passes m D? do you even remember how it was? ............

ill talk to you soon.

well again as i've said to so many people, bad negative comments are also comments. And if i dislike somethink i have the same right to say it as the next guy who tell you that the peace is good. ....

U say it doesnt help if it is bad comment and negative, well what good does a positive commnt do?? yes?

yes, went through and saw and liked your gallery. some very good shots there.

also i looked at the photos you've recently commented. if u don't think something is art or it doesn't appeal to you, please do not comment. it doesn't help anyone. constructive criticism is one thing, and u had a lot of that too, but going on about how something isn't art or how the subject is sooo typical or how u can't understand what other ppl like is waste of time.

hope u don't mind me telling so honestly. your swedish so i reckoned u can take the feedback and as u put it :just my opinion"

hi and thanks for commenting on "swallow". well at least i never siad it was neither original nor art it's a photograph, that's it. and i am quite surprised of the attention it has gotten, i was close to not posting it... yet i'm not saying i'm sorry i did. i feel like i'm living my teenage years all over again; blood, gore and razorblades and stuff...but it's been mostly fun to me.

anyway, your pics look interesting so i'm off to see your gallery.

have a nice day.

Hiya..thanks for commenting on "Solitary"! To answer your question about what shutter speed I used...well, I'd love to tell you...

(There's always a "but" after a sentence like that, now isn't there? )

My digital camera was bought before I thought I wanted to do anything artsy with it. It was just for taking pictures of my friends or whatever, so I didn't think I needed any special features. Basically what that means is now I need to buy a new camera This one doesn't have an adjustable shutter speed, nor do I have the manual to see what the shutter speed IS. It's probably whatever the standard speed is (damned if I know what that is) but uh..yeah. that turned out to be a long answer.

"the droplets on the leaf are too big to be there with the absence of oil or anything of that sort"

hehe, I find is a riot that everyone thinks this is a fake. The original IS posted in my gallery. The drops are real. Are they that big? No... this is why it's called "macro" shot. Look how big the veins in the lead are, and the leaf itself. If I had not zoomed in on that leaf, you'd see the drops proportionally as they are, which was no bigger than my pinky toe.

It was taken with a Nikon Coolpix 995, on a deck, after a storm, B&W mode, macro focus, no editing other than to increase the contrast a bit and to overexpose the background.

Yes?

Just had to comment on your comment on my 'Now that's a breakfast'... I too have that same problem with the pic... when I'm hungry it just makes me hungrier... so it kinda works as a photo I spose... not high art, more like a hotel advert or something... but it worked

A DD, short for Daily Deviation, is one that the staff of [link] pick to be the feature of the day because he/she who choose it thought it was an amazing peice of work and that everyone should see it. I figure you'd get a note or something in your devart "messages" folder from the one who choose it... I'm not sure.

AWSOME STUFF! I love your work! some, reminds me of my brothers...
