The writers can do anything they want, but the one thing I know they won't do is permanently kill of Cortana. She's too popular and she's too iconic. She will be back.

But they also follow actual logic. Unless you think an EMP effect can change the coding of a corrupted AI then I'll believe it. But if she is coming back then they should make her more like what she was in Halo:CE,2 and 3, not the sexist, overbearing Cortana shown in 4. Yes they were trying to have her more artistic but it is still a popular franchise. 

Another er thing they should add (if you read any of the books) is blue team

Nothing in fiction has to follow your logic, it just has to be fit with the fiction's logic. It has nothing to do with an EMP. Cortana shed her split personalities to attack the Didact and his ships systems. Those split personalities represented her corrupt code, as you put it. So, she purged the rampant portion of her code and got sucked into the portal with the Didact. I am 100% certaint hat the Didact will return and even more certain that with him Cortana will return.

I don't want her to be like the Cortana of the old games, everything about Halo 4 is better.

If you read the books than you'd know that in First Strike Cortana melded code from a Covenant AI that made her special and different from all other AI's.

......It's basics are based on real physics. Firing solutions, Slipspace calculations. I'm not saying my logic I'm talking about the real thing.

As you can see she wasn't the strong soldier we saw in the past.


No, she was specail all by herself, she just destroyed the the covenant AI and copied it's information, there was no change in the core.

Halo 5 comes out next year and we are getting a live action Halo TV show. It's going to be  a good year for us Halo fans. I'll probably be doing some more Halo fanart as my excitement ramps up in the coming months. Plus I always play through all the Halo games leading up to the new ones.

What's your favorite. Mine is a tie between Halo CE and Halo 4.

Live action Tv show? where's this at?

I like the first three halos.. but i don't know, reach is good too because of the ability. probably halo 2 because of all the crazy glitches like super jump and bxb and bxr.

It was announced a few months ago. All we know right now is that it's live action and Steven Spielberg is producing it. We don't don't if it will be about Master Chief and Cortana or ODSTs, or even Sgt Johnson. As much as I'd love a weekly show about The Chief and Cortana I doubt that would happen. I'm thinking it will be set on a UNSC ship with science personnel, some marines, and maybe a Spartan IV. I'm sure they'll cross paths with the Chief as he searches for Cortana, but you can't have a weekly show as epic as Halo 4 every week.

Ohhh.. yeah.. they probably won't make it about chief and cortana. have you seen the movie "forward to dawn"? it was about lasky and just very small parts with mc. still, i'd still watch it.

I love Forward Unto Down. I watched each of the episodes leading up to Halo 4 and I bought the movie version on disc where they edited them all into one. Even though Cortana wasn't in it and Master Chief was only seen for a small portion I though the rest of the characters were excellent additions to Halo lore. Tom Lasky is now one of my favorite characters.

Have you seen the teaser trailer for the next Halo on X1?

It strongly alludes to the Chief going on a quest to recover Cortana and he uncovers some kind of giant Forerunner machine. It's just a teaser so it's not directly from the game, but it's still cool. It looks like the Chief has gone rogue and is off by himself.

Thanks for the art. Lanfear is the one forsaken that you love, hate, and pity all at the same time. I wish there was more WoT fanart. It's my favorite book series. Maybe if it ever gets a movie it will get at least half attention that Lord of the Rings gets even though it deserves twice that.
