Friend Zone 2
The darkness didn’t abate for very long. The next days and weeks went by in a blur, as she began healing and learning to walk again. The lightning strike had wrecked her motor skills. The time also pasted mostly in silence for her, since she couldn’t really speak. She worked with several different therapists in regaining her ability to walk, write, and even speak.
It was very slow going but she was making progress. What never went away for her though, were the thoughts of everyone in the room with her, and sometimes even down the hall. She didn’t understand it. She wasn’t even sure if it was real. She couldn’t really tell anyone about it so she just worked day after day trying to get to where she could function again as a normal human being.
Her parents were always around, some of her classmates came by every once in a while. Justin though came by every day and sat with her. She enjoyed his visits the most because thanks to her new ability she could unders
Friend Zone 3
The problem with her newfound abilities was in how to use them without bringing on a lot of unwanted attention. You see when you are a perfectly normal person you can’t just all of a sudden be something different. You cannot, not be normal. It’s what is expected. You can’t just morph and shape shift in front of people. Especially not in front of Justin, or her parents for god’s sake, she would be a lab rat for the rest of her life. She couldn’t seem like she was ahead of people because she could read their thoughts.
So for the next several days Casey plotted and schemed a way to make her abilities work for her and not make her appear as anything other than the normal girl she was. Any changes she made to her body would have to be subtle and over a little bit of time unless she wanted to call attention to herself. Of course that was not what she really wanted. She wanted to be Justin’s ideal girl right on the very spot but she understood that she was
Friend Zone 4
As was the case with many malls in the country, her hometown mall was only half filled with stores. A few people visited the dying symbol of commercialism every day but mostly old people who used it as a walking track. Still there were some very good clothing stores left and that was what Casey was interested in. So she didn’t mind having to walk with her mom past a few old people to get to the stores she wanted to visit.
The two walked around looking at things for a while. Casey stuck to her plan and mentioned getting a few new bras and shirts and her mom didn’t really fight her to hard on the idea offering slight resistance and what little there was, was removed when Casey swelled chest up large enough to hang out of the one she was wearing. Just Little bits of flesh peeking out from the top and sides did the trick. So they picked a few out and Casey began trying on the clothes she liked the most. She shifted her body around to make the clothes look their very best on her
Friend Zone 5
Justin sat in his car as traffic whizzed past. He was sitting with his mouth slack and speechless. His best friend in the world and just transformed into no less than 5 different people right before his very eyes. She had become his now ex-girlfriend and a Pop Goddess, along with a few others. When he finally started hearing the horns and the load shouts from outside of his car Casey was back to normal. She looked at him expecting some type of answer but in that very moment nothing was even close to coming to mind.
After another moment he put his foot back on the gas and began driving. Keeping one eye on the road and the other on Casey afraid that if he moved his eye from her that she would change again. “What the Hell just happened? How did you do that?”
Casey sat across from Justin smiling ear to ear. She could hear everything he was thinking. The only problem was so many thoughts were racing through his head that she was having trouble keeping up with his thoughts.
Friend Zone 6
Casey took it kind of slow the next few days. She didn’t shape shift much just in case she had managed to over do it and that was what has caused the whole growing and shrinking issue. She didn’t want to have that happen again. She was pretty sure that Justin didn’t either
She preferred to be in full control of her changes. So instead she spent the down time working on her mind reading ability. Which to be honest she had mostly neglected since day one because while it was cool it was kind of noisy and being able to transform her body into almost anyone was just way cooler.
It had even gotten her within striking distance of being out of Justin’s friend zone and into his girlfriend zone, a zone that she had been trying for years to break into with no success. Was now basically hers for the taking she just couldn’t mess it up any more with uncontrolled growth spurts that ruin the mood.
