Will there be any more parts to "What Dreams may become"?

I really want there to be. I wasn't planning on ending it there. I just need to get back into it...I've been working on my books now, so I really haven't been writing short stories. I really will try to get back into it, though. Thanks for asking!

Haven't done any short stories since... September, I think. I've been working on the second book of my trilogy... actually it's out today, so I'm pretty excited!

I'm kinda sad that the next CTD story hasn't been announced or posted yet

I'm doing great
Does this mean will we finally get to see Matts journey as the first guy with CTD?.

No, my book is not on Deviant Art- it's a real book, actually a trilogy- (Family of the Fox). Plenty of time travel, transformation, all that good stuff in it.

Okay, so there's this scientist, who's more excited than ever to publicize a massive, world-changing discovery she made. It's her life's work, and she's excited to revolutionize the world. Then, she meets another scientist who already knows about what she discovered, but he and some friends of his fear massive change like that, and would rather hold back the technological progress of most of mankind to prevent it.
Which reaction do you think makes more sense for a scientist?
A) Doing what she can to allay their fears, while sticking to her original plan (perhaps also being a little peeved that something that big has already been discovered without her knowledge and squandered), or
B) Doing a total 180 and deciding to keep the world at large in the dark, while continuing to make full use of it herself, knowing how great it is

Hmm... are you perhaps speaking of a certain set of stories I wrote?Β
I think that both sides need to be weighed carefully and even studied before maybe slowly releasing the findings to the world. Doesn't have to happen immediately.

Of course, and I think you know I have a specific scientist in mind as well.
Good pointβand one that's made apparent even in my own writing, in case you don't remember.
I would, however, say that people have a right to know, and while I don't mean that in a sense that obligates anyone to tell them, it does mean that telling the public should be the goal. Maybe not immediately, but within a reasonable amount of time. Soon enough that most people alive at the moment will be able to enjoy it in their lifetime, at least.
And to add to that, magic, being a fundamental force of the universe, is the "property" of everyone, so to speak. People have a right to it at its full potential. So that means the time shouldn't be spent setting up any kind of hierarchy or putting any kind of limits on what it can doβonly to limit the negative impact of it. To use an analogy, the time shouldn't be spent making guns weaker; it should be spent making people's bodies more resilient.
I do hope you write about Gina going public at some point, especially if it's before Mr. Wintergreen would prefer

Yes, I have thought about it. I just think that even she would be concerned about the safety aspects and would definitely delve into that before divulging any secrets.

saralexxia In reply to grapehyacinth [2019-10-22 19:04:41 +0000 UTC]
Delve into it how? What sort of precautions would she take?

grapehyacinth In reply to saralexxia [2019-10-28 12:35:48 +0000 UTC]
Well, if I ever wrote a story about it, those would be some of the questions I'd have to deal with. Haven't really thought about them much.

Ah okay. Hopefully nothing that would infringe on anyone's right to use magic at its full potential!
