# About me
So my full name is Victoria but thats a little too formal for me so my friends call me Ria for short. I love to cosplay and and a very impatient cosplayer so I like to get lots of cosplays finished. My waiting list for cosplays I would love to do is longer than my arm but I'd like to think that my skills have improved over the time I've been cosplaying. I think though the fact I have a couple of battlesuits lined up is a a good sign of improvement.My main cosplay inspirations are Metal Gear Solid, Detective Conan and anything and everything by Clamp.

When I'm not frantically making cosplays I enjoy playing video games, watching anime and reading manga. I'm also hoping to restart martial arts at some point as I throughly enjoyed that back in the day. I also play airsoft but that is on hold atm as it is illegal in Australia but I am part of a MLP themed team and my weapon of choice is the Desert Eagle (blatently because Meryl Silverburgh is my favourite character ever :D)

Hi! Β I was browsing, and saw you have pics posted for a Lirael cosplay on the Cosplay Island site. Β Are you still working on this? Β I haven't seen a solid Lirael yet, and it would be AMAZING! Β I did a cosplay for Sabriel last year. Β The keys on the surcoat were the hardest even with spreading it out over 6 months, but they came out really nicely if you want any tips for the Lirael surcoat. Β Good luck!

I am. Myself and is working on Sabriel. We were hoping to have them ready for Ayacon (in 2 weeks) but due to other con commitments we probably won't and are hoping to have them done before September instead. I love the keys on your surcoat and have actually used images of your surcoat as reference for my own. But any tips will be hugely welcomed. I have started the embroidery but as you know it's a very slow process :S Β Β

Nice! Β I'd say the most helpful thing was to make the project portable. Β Since it takes so long, it helps to bring it with you if you know you'll have extra tim somewhere. Β Also, use a stencil when placing your keys. Β Its so important to keep the spacing even. Β Good luck!

lol dragon con is cool too, but the sakuracon is the northwest jewel of conventions. its huge but not overwhelmingly massive
