actually it isn't that hard to find old, decayed and abandoned houses if you're living in east-germany. the problem while you're doing urban exploration are the ever watchful neighbours...

I have the opposite problem in San Diego, California. Not enough stuff to explore, but we have our share of people ready to jump out and ask..."Can I help you?!" and or call cops.

Thanks so much for looking! Its hard to tell by my photos but I live in sunny san diego california land of surf and sunny skies year round. I have always been interested in abandonments and decay. Over the last year or so I took up an interest in "urban exploration" most of the shots posted are a result of my new hobby. Going inside a place nobody has been in for a long time is quite a thrill! Its worth pointing out what I am really drawn to in your work is feeling of solitude in many (resurrection day is a great example). Hope that explains it all a little bit, I thought about joking back with something like "yes, since george bush started spending all our money on war things in the states are tough..."
All the best,
Dan

"urban exploration" when nobody's left in town..that must be a great feeling. i find derelicts and abandoned places attractive as well. somehow they give me a sense of connection to the past which is dead.
i'll go on with te irony..."he's been at power so long now, that you can even speak about rounds o f tough times which add to the dusty layer of the past"
