The two most important things needed to improve one's skills are patience and commitment so, sure, as long as you keep on working you'll certainly get better! I've been looking at your gallery, and I think you have some really interesting ideas in there, which in my opinion is the most important part, I mean, with enough time, anyone can learn to draw and paint; creativity, on the other hand, simply cannot be adquired or taught...
Anyway, I don't want to bore with my talk; just one last thing, If you're interested (and in case you've not seen them already), I recommend you to take a look at Feng Zhu's tutorials (specially the first ones), they are mostly oriented to digital art, but I think there's a lot to learn from them, no matter how one works, at least I can tell they have helped me improve a lot during this last year so I believe they're really worth watching...

Hey, there's no reason to hide in shame! I mean, honestly, maybe you don't feel entirely satisfied with your results now, but it's all part of the process; each and every paint or drawing that you do helps improve your skills. Regarding what you mention about the equipment, I understand your dilemma, in fact, something similar happened to me; so, in short, I only started to work in digital a few years ago, before that, just like you, pencils and pens was all I had... in any case, what I want to say is that, for the moment, traditional means are good enough to keep on training... surely in the future you'll get the equipment that you want!!!
Anyway, again, I don't want to bore with my chat.
