From the very beginning I knew the novel and a website would/should go hand in hand. I also considered a TV series or mini-series that would feature carefully edited excerpts of Jon's videos, and would drive viewers to the site. I have a producer friend in LA who considered it, but in the end felt FOX (his employer) would hesitate over the content. Of course, at that time, I was still thinking about Jon as a mainstream commodity with the erotica dumbed down -- not a full-blown (uh, sorry) graphic treatment. Short answer: Yes, I've seen the possibilities.
Hatching is good. But this would be a big jump for me. I am still mulling and not at all sure I can or want to go further than talk at this point. (I am a grandmother for heavens sake! With a real career. Not unlike Al's.) What do you see as Al/Ed/ScooperS role in this? L&M does not exist except in fantasy land. But, hmm, what a fascinating idea. I admit I itch at the thought of creating a sequel to jon.com based on "reality": the formation of the real thing, told as fiction. It boggles the mind.
Oh, and I figured the other Steve Cooper and BEEPS video productions were a coincidence, but as you have hinted, I thought perhaps there are no coincidences. So, damn, your Steve Cooper is a fiction too? You're killing me, guy. Killing me.

Ah, the money. Every project needs a Lydia. Know of any?
As for the relationship between ScoopS and Al, I find myself thinking about the movie Nine and a Half Weeks You've seen it, I'm sure. Not that I think either of you is all that kinky, but there is that symbiotic blend of the uptown uptight professional with the backstreet guy who is comfortable paying for sex and other savories.
Did you pick "$55 a hit" intentionally? Are Jon and company charging too little? Their strategy was to appeal to the masses. Sounds like Al specializes in more upscale branding. Interesting... Can I use that in my epilogue? That would be the ultimate revenge: Jon becoming a self-styled luxury item, out of reach of all but the highbrow. Hmm, even Bella might be persuaded to approve of that new Jon. Sorry, I drifted off to author land for a moment there. I'm back.
Last note: So you've got a female willing to "work" for room, board and 10%?! That really is Jon of her. So what do you need a talented writer for?

Where there's a will, there's an Al - we just might have to kill him off to get to his will!
Al is an Arty Eccentric. His professional reserve is a tease to those that need to explore, and the less he responds to the tease, the more they feel a need to gain a response, a lovely, safe formula for Al.
He asks nothing, and the subjects, begging his attention, give everything. The more blase he is, the more he receives. His collection of unbelievable stories grows, as does his pictorial record of those stories.
Scoops is purely an opportunist, looking at Al's library, (he obviously has a key!) and humming the "What If..." song to himself... Totally reusable IP, especially if aimed at a different, and to him unexplored market.
The best way to align, is to show a face that the market will accept - a little more laid back than Al, cruder than Jon and obviously Mr Hit n Run when it comes to the girls. A Jekyll & Hyde? Perhaps so, but as you have guessed, a small time writer also has coffee on the corner of the boulevarde and the alley.
...and paying for sex and other savories....lol.... both Al and Scoops charge their subjects to perform. The lovely irony is when the subject hands over the money, asks if its OK for her to strip now; models & more, thanks 'us' for the opportunity, and recommends her friends. 'Tis a hard life.
Of course it was L&M's $55 I was alluding to... grrrrr
You did your Marketing 101 course - L&M created their own 'roduct differentiation' so do we. But yes... 'Jonathon Esq' could command $1000 for a bit of velvet lining, a feather and perhaps a dob of KY jelly!
Use with impunity, Jon is yours to play with, Lydia. hehehe
Last note:
What are the possibilities?
I am sure I can easily find a Jon, especially if I have a Joan already.
A sequel, a movie, supporting stills, an empire, a biographer hmmmm, thats a tiny start.....

You been doing this long? Or is the opportunist simply seizing at a brass ring in the form of my Jon? I confess, the ideas you outline have lurked at the edge of my vision for a year or more now. BUT... I didn't consider a partner, silent or otherwise. Then again, maybe I needed a ScooperS of my own to shove me off the boulevarde and into the alley. Hmm, 'tis hard to surrender respectability, but money would be good. And like you said, Jon is mine to play with.
Okay, right now you need to sleep and I need to think. When you wake up, if you want to talk more, email me please. I think we are exposing too much of ourselves here on dA. And not in a good way. Two things: Do we remain incognito to each other indefinitely? And what's your plan? Take Jon to the internet? If so, and if it is the way you are talking about, that -- in Jon's words from Ch. 12 -- "changes everything."
