Well I had to smirk as soon as I noticed what I can't unsee. Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna. The abbreviation for this new Digi-film literally spells out DALEK!

I am kinda behind on Digimon right now... I have about half of Tri, and there's an entire new series I had no idea that even existed... o.oΒ It's on Crunchyroll though, so I'll have a go.

Yeah I caught up with the first part of Tri just recently though. Feels weird only having some of the voices back though. Matt and Kari's are of course the ones I miss the most, though they at least they got most of the Digis. Kinda strange hearing Tai's voice in the initial part where he's dead serious most of the time. Also pretty strange to get a dub opening while still having Brave Heart and all the rest show up in the soundtrack as well.

So~ After again being outta the fandom for a while I'm looking at the English dub for Yugioh: Dark Side of Dimensions right now. Hearing some of the usual added-in jokes and changed music (though I haven't seen the original at this point), but gotta admit its good to hear some of the old dub cast.

I watched it in Japanese, so I'm not sure about the dub.Β I'm equally nostalgic for both sets of voices, so I usually go for Japanese (since I speak it and all...)
I thought it was ridiculous but it's great fun to mock, and seems back on form. What did you think?

Well still the same characters and interesting to see a new story with them. Animation's good of course, but as usual at the back of my head I can't help but wonder how much has changed. Surprised they showed a visible gun for once though, not to mention that flashback with Bakura.

4Kids lost the rights some time ago, and I think the rules are different for movies than they are for TV. So that might explain it.

It could also be appealing to audiences that grew up with the show rather than newer fans in this case also.
From what I'm aware after the company went under, the remnants are now working directly under Konami with the YuGiOh brand.
