Haha, I've been here for a lonnng time; I actually found FA through a friend on dA! To be fair though, I didn't know you had a dA, either!

It's hilarious, because I'm in teh same situation! I've been here for nearly seven years, and found FA through a friend. It's funny how that works out.
I am FAR more active on dA than FA, so it'll be easier for me to follow you here if you're more active here.

Your work is amazing I love 'dont leave' , its got so much detail I cant stop looking at it! I was wondering if there was a story about that scene and what it ment, I have my own ideas but I was curious about the real story behind it

Pepokish In reply to Red-NakedPagan [2011-05-10 17:48:47 +0000 UTC]
Yes actually, there is sort of a story behind it. (: I was approached a few months ago by one who had recently lost their beloved pet dog of many years. They were heartbroken and wanted a painting done of a very specific moment, in commemoration of the dog's life and friendship. Of course I was honoured to be chosen for the project, and I really hope the painting brought a bit of comfort to the person who requested it.
The person didn't mention a specific reason why they wanted to be represented in anthro form in the painting (perhaps there isn't any specific reason), but to me personally, since they're both canine, I feel that it kind of represents the deep connection that these two had, and how we tend to see our pets as part of us, even when they pass on.
Wow, anyway, long reply is long. Sorry!
Thank you so much for the comment! <3

I think itβs a lovely piece and that was my interpretation of it also When I lost my dog last year itβs like your best friend and a member of the family leaving, they leave a big hole in your life. Thank you for taking the time to explain, youβre very talented and I hope the picture was appreciated

I faved a DD of yours a while back, and (just now) curiously went through a bit of your gallery... and I'm wondering why I didn't do that before! Your art is beautiful! Most realism artists only go for the realism instead of the emotion or story - and you break that mold. Totally watching you now. <3
