Oh come off it. Asakiku is cute because it brings out Arthur's not-as-flipping-tsundere-and-actually-more-polite side. And it's historically valid (compared to Giripan, which is honestly not as rampant in history and modern politics as Asakiku).

You know which pairing both highly historically valid and apparently completely obscure in the Hetalia community? Japan and Netherlands. For a couple HUNDRED years I think it was, Japan refused to trade or even converse with anyone but the Dutch. Even though Netherlands is apparently a stoic downer character (though I prefer to think of him as Humon's Holland than the Hetalised version), I shipped this since the first time it came up in history class. And yet, possibly because Netherlands/Holland isn't a particularly well-known character to begin with, fanfiction for these two is nonexistant. =3=
