Hi there, thanks for the add to your watch. I hope you will like the work. I don't post that often so you will not be swamped and most of my work is from Ireland.

You're welcome! I actually was focusing on the tutorials at first, but then I looked at you're gallery and I really like what you have posted. The book necklaces must take a lot of work, but I can see that they're well done (and beautiful).
And thank you so much for posting all those helpful tutorials! I'm working towards a Library Science degree and I thought learning how to make and repair books would be a big plus. Unfortunately, there are no accredited schools in my area that teach these skills, so I'll have to self teach myself for now.
Thanks again for making that so much easier!

Oh wow. Good luck with your Library Science degree.
I used to be a librarian at Cambridge University before taking up bookbinding. Was great fun.
There are quite a few bookbinding societies in America that have a really good reputation.
The Guild of Book Workers:- [link] may be of use to you (although membership can be quite expensive). I can send you a list of others if they are of any help.
Bookbinders are a friendly bunch, even on here, so if you have any questions ask away If I don't know I can pass you on to someone who will.

Wowee! Thanks for all the help! These are some great starting points and its wonderful to know that there is lots of support within the bookbinding community for beginners.
And I'm sorry I took so long to reply. Life and all that.
