I'd just like to point out how cool Amy Rose is and how sweet it is to see someone with such feelings for her.
I love the gallery and I love the way you've made yourself into a hedgehog, I might have to do the same (look out Shadow!).

You work in a similar way to me, I love the way you colour the eyes I'd love to see more backgrounds like yours, are they done completely on photoshop?

That's why I looked at your work in more detail, your outlines seem a lot more solid and on top of the color and the shading looks a lot more dynamic than mine, how do you do it?
And yes I did the beach background in photoshop by rendering the clouds and then using the gradient and fibers filter on the water. Oh and lens refraction for the sun, it's all very basic stuff.

I just duplicate the outline and put it over the top set to darken.
For the shadows I make a new layer set it to darken and put the fill at 25-35%. I then use a black brush to put in the actual shadows.
I do the same for highlights but set the layer to lighten and use a white brush.

That would make more sense, I just painted different colors on top which didn't work as well.
