Did you like how the Sparity relationship ended in the series with the episode "Dragon Dropped."

As many have stated, that episode is open to interpretation. Many, such as myself, don’t think that episode ended it by any means, but rather strengthened it because Rarity realized how much she missed spending time with Spike and how much he means to her. Just because Spike was spending time with someone else doesn’t necessarily mean he was over his crush on her, especially when he willingly hung out with her the second time she pleaded. Nowhere was it stated or implied that he’s over her and that this was the end of the ship. That’s just a hater bot mindset.

It could also be said though that Spike hanging out with Gabby is his way of trying to get over Rarity and his one sided crush. Nothing wrong with being friends of course.
But seeing as it never went anywhere, even Spike has to see that he needs to hang out with girls other than the Mane 7 all the time.

When I first saw that, I was like "there's lots of anti Sparity people in the fandom, why should this disappoint?" Until I saw that it was a change of mind from my favorite and the most popular Sparity artist.
She claims that she's "older and wiser". If you ask me, more like "easier to give into semi-popular opinion, probably from having heard from anti Sparity bots enough times." It's basically like one of those cases where if you hear something enough, you legitimately start believing it's true, even if it's BS. You can check the comments to see that I gave a full rant on the matter. If anything, the recent seasons have given us more reason to support the ship as well as the possibility that Spike's more or less as old as we think he is, not fewer reasons.

I see your post and I agreed. While I never been a fan of her art, it's kinda disappointing to see this artist changed their perspective on Sparity. I show this post in the Sparity group here at Fimfiction and they was also disappointed.

You know, as someone who’s shipped Sparity for the longest time, and still does, the finale had me worried as to if we were right about their supposed only few year difference: I was having a discussion with someone, pointing out how Spike is finally portrayed as being an adult. Until they pointed out to me that she’s starting to get gray hair in her mane and wrinkles under her eyes, which is a definite sign of starting to get old. Whereas Spike still looks like a young adult. Unless I’m looking at the pic wrong. Help me out here. The pic should be available online if you haven’t seen it yet if you google image Mlp The Last Problem.

I already see pictures of Spike and Rarity when they older and Rarity doesn't look that bad. People have also said that the age lines giving to the mane six (except Twilight) are a little much.

Getting rather tired of G1 elitists. And people call us bronies bad. Yeah keep pretending that because some of the personalities were changed, it makes them bad, and no possible way that the characters that were changed aren't descendants of their older gen counterparts by the same name. Just do whatever fits your nostalgic bias to make FiM look as bad as possible. And they call us bad.

I did just want to say this: anything I had said about me not liking the MLP: FiM show and such anymore actually has changed now, I still like it now, the reason I was acting like that was because I did not like seasons 5 and 6 and I think I focused too much on the negative sides of the fandom, and I needed to in a way take a break, but I'm fine now.

I must admit, I myself get a bit annoyed with this fandom at times, just like you did. As someone who's been rewatching some of the older episodes, and I know it's an old episode itself, I can honestly say the hate towards Magical Mystery Cure rather pisses me off. I know the Twilight becoming an alicorn is a love or hate kind of thing, so I won't cover that...yet. But people say it was rushed, the songs were awful, and it seemed like some bottom of the barrel idea that they dug out at the last moment. Like WHAT?! The idea of their cutie marks being switched was clever, the songs were clever and "What My Cutie Mark is Telling Me" was a humorous portrayal of their problems and misunderstandings of them, and "A True True Friend" was equally as fitting for the resolution of the problem.
I mean, ok, maybe it was a bit rushed. I do admit that in most other episodes, Twilight would have made things worse before figuring out the solution as opposed to figuring it out in 5 minutes, and therefore would have probably worked better as a two-parter. But it still doesn't change the fact that the dilemma itself was still clever, the solution equally clever, and the songs equally fitting.
This fandom can be extremely biased in its hate and refuse to look at the positive side of things sometimes. -_-

I can agree with you, the only flaw with MMC is that it's rushed to me and I agree it's biased. It is annoying yeah, that's why I've chosen to mostly stop looking at reviews of the show. I still like Twilight as an alicorn and she's good, but to me her portrayal in No Second Prances pissed me off. I hope another episode with her improves.
One other thing I like about this show is the world in a way, I think I can know why it appeals to adults (I know how it appeals to families also, and if I had kids, I'd let them watch it), we like exploring new worlds, and the world in Equestria kinda is different but at the same time it isn't really different from our own and it has a nice combination of fantasy and modern day stuff...

Exactly. It was rushed due to the whole Alicorn princess Twilight aspect of it, and probably would have worked better as a two-parter and with Twilight messing things up before finding the right solution, as usual. But rushed or not, it was still a clever dilemma and solution, and "What My Cutie Mark is Telling Me" and "True True Friend" were both nicely sung and fit their respective scenes. Sometimes I think a good chunk of this fandom is in dire need of a hearing aid and a punch in the face.

At least the fandom, myself included, seems to agree on one thing: You'll Play Your Part is one of the best, if not the best, songs in the entire series, and also quite possibly one of the best songs from any cartoon period. It was just so beautiful.

Agreed, the voices (especially Cadence's) and music were beautiful, the lyrics were nice, and the animation was lovely and really complimented the animation too (plus you can understand when Luna says "I know how hard it is to wait, to spread out your wings and soar"). The only one who I think didn't like it was Digibro.
