no prob there both very cool is that tat on your arm shoulder?but if it was my choose I think I'd gone perhaps with a outline of like a flame sun ya know I mean it would fit great with the gritty pointism you went with still very cool tat!

mag je zeker want het is eigenlijk grappig ,heb hotelschool gevolgd namelijk om te ontdekken dat dat niet de sector was waarin ik wou werken dus moest ik iets anders zoeken en wou oorspronkelijk goudsmid volgen ,toen ik merkte dat vdab opleidingen gaven in siersmeden heb ik me daar voor ingeschreven maar omdat ik geen enkel achtergrond had in metaal moest ik eerst metaalbewerking volgen daar zeiden ze me dat ik best eerst een cursus lassen zou volgen dus dat dan gedaan en voor die gedaan was kreeg ik een werkaanbieding bij een bedrijf als lasser daar begonnen waar ik nu 10jaar werk maar dus geen siersmeden gedaan ,op mn werk begon ik wat te rotzooien met afval metaal en merkte dat ik intersante dingen kon maken en dacht dit moet ik echt voortzetten en heb dan 4jaar beeldhouwen in avondles gevolgd en na mijn uren op werk werk ik aan mijn eigen stukken nu

Ikzelf zit op vrije beeldende kunsten waar ik ook beeldhouwkunst krijg, en ik ben echt gefascineerd door alles wat er iets mee te maken heeft. Ik vond het wel verassend dat ik plots een Belgje tussen die gallery vond. Misschien zou ik verder gaan in beeldhouwkunst. Maar hoe werkt dat eigenlijk zo'n opleiding? En wat houdt siersmeden dan precies in?

yeah eigenlijk wel he ik veronderstel dat het aantoont dat uiteindelijk waar ik goed in ben en wat ik wou doen op uitkom en alles onderweg enkel toevoegt aan wat ik nu doe. dus ik raad je aan om beeldhouwkunst te volgen omdat het nooit een verloren moeite ofzo zal zijn en enkel een beter beeld zal geven wat je binnen beeldende kunst wilt en kunt doen ,wat mijn lessen op neer kwam is de eerste 2 jaren leren om vorm te geven in 3d in klei vooral boetseren omdat dat het meest praktische is en eens je inzicht in waarnemen en proprtie schatten dan ga je overop de verschillende technieken om met diverse materialen te werken hout ,steen of plaaster ...
siersmeden heb ik uiteindelijk nooit gehad maar wat ik nu doe met metaal komt in zekere zin neer op dat enkel gebruik ik andere modernere apparatuur zoals lassen en slijpen ,siersmeden is eigenlijk een staaf opwarmen en kloppen tot de vorm die men wenst te bekomen ,wat ik op mijn werk doe is vooral buizen oplengte zagen ,plooien en dan aan eenlassen of in geval van mijn beeld klein stukjes plaat lassen en bijslijpen zodat je de overgang niet meer merkt en zo verder opbouwen das mijn techniek want een standbeeld is geboedseerd ,een mal van gemaakt en dan word in die mal he beeld afgegoten .houtkappen is dan weer een andere manier omdat je materiaal wegneemt wat veel moeilijker is

hey man no prob it s a good piece so it fully deserves it right
its been a while indeed ,going well just finished a house number for friends gotha put some pics up from that and started work on a "3rd mirror a good bud of mine wants to give it as a birthgift for his girlfriend but only have a month so thats gonna be a big challenge but I am up for it and to make it even more challenging theres a girl at work who's been dreaming for years to become a welder so I gotha give up time to teach her after workhours cause how could I deny this girls dream right

I've bogged down by university, had to hand in my dissertation (a big long essay you need to do to graduate) recently, which was a nightmare, because instead of starting it at the beginning of summer when we were given it, I decided to leave it to two weeks before hand in, resulting in a many a sleepless nights. I Also had exhibition in november and I've got my final degree show coming up in a few months time so I need get my arse in gear and get working.
