Of course! That is an excellent depiction of Jean Reno, and also, that is a fantastic movie! It is rather interesting how your art looks as a photo from a distance, but becomes less so up close. Very cool.

Of course! The piece fascinates me. I think it is because I don't fully understand it, and I enjoy the mystery.

Ah cheers. Yeah I like mystery, and weirdness, and I think it's got a bit of both.

Haha. You speak quite a bit more of it than I. At least I can understand it (albeit, having to look up a word every once in a while).
Unfortunately, my father never taught me, when I was a kid, so I really don't know a whole lot of it, but I'll learn the rest of it some day. Heh. Someday.

Whatever you do--DON'T LEARN IT FROM THE COUNTRY BUMPKINS.
They speak WAY too fast to be of any help whatsoever... and they're a little dialectically prejudiced... if that makes any sense.
It's a cool language, and once you know enough of it, you can understand Danish and Swedish as well.

shadowsofwhite In reply to internaldiscord [2008-02-27 01:12:48 +0000 UTC]
Well, MOST of Swedish. I actually am pre-acclimed to a dialect (which is really strange), due to that both my mother's side and my father's side (coincidentally) are from SΓΈr Trondelag.
I love the language and think it's great, but I figured out that if I learned it, I would have a bit of a problem: I would no longer think in English and would be pre-disposed to speaking Norsk. I spent two weeks in Norway in 2003 (and two weeks in 2001), and both times, I came back and nobody knew what I was saying! I couldn't even think of the proper English words to say! Farfar knew exactly what I was saying, but kept bugging me about it nonetheless. XD
It's all good fun.

I understand totally! I spent a week in Norway this summer and when I came back I was able to pick out tidbits of my Danish friends' conversations... not much... but enough.
I already think in Spanish and Italian more than English...
I'm a fluent Spanglish speaker actually! (much to the shame of my family )
I think English may be the fastest growing language, but it lacks a certain degree of style that other have, and thus is more easily forgotten.

Spanglish! I can't properly learn the latin languages, for whatever reason. The grammar and stuff just doesn't seem right.
So... if spanish-english is called spanglish, what would italian english be? englian? Italish? Italinglish? What about Norwegian-English? Norwenglish? Or German-English? Genglish? Germanglish?
Alright... I've killed that cow. P:
I think that english only lacks the style of other languages because people just don't know how to use it. It is, technically, the most descriptive of all the languages in the world (on a word-by-word basis alone) and can be one of the fanciest sounding, if one has the right vocabulary (which is, unfortunately, not readily taught in school).
I guess I'm just griping about english because I am an english major! (never mind my complete lapse in self-grammar-controll throughout this post!)
Pah.

Germenglish I think. That like when people add ΓΌber... I could see that catching on... maybe. hah.
And I do adore English as it is one of those most beautiful as far as it's all-encompassing vocabulary goes, but it sounds far more brutish than romance languages. Perhaps the fact that it's also the most bastardized lends it that feeling. Realizing that many other languages around the world are constantly stealing our words and adapting them, I suppose it isn't COMPLETELY vile...
As for english major... I understand. It's a love- hate relationship. I'm the same way about music haha

Heh, ΓΌber! I used to use that all the time, but nobody got it because I used it in the appropriate context... XP
I truely loathe the bastardization of English, but there is no sense in griping about it.
Love-hate indeed. I'm going for a Creative Writing degree, which is worlds better than shooting for a grammar-nazi degree (grammar-nazi is a nickname I earned during my senior year of highschool for correcting every little mistake, even the teachers', but I don't do that anymore, thank the sky!). I thought about goingin for a Music degree, but then I figured out that I didn't want to spend the rest of my life playing the trombone. I would have just wasted my life away practicing for the next concert.

Precisely. Music Demigod apparently isn't an option so I had to compromise.

You were only shooting for Demigod? No higher? Pff!
I could never teach. I hate children too much!

internaldiscord In reply to shadowsofwhite [2008-03-06 05:40:14 +0000 UTC]
Well it's only an undergrad school so I could only go so far.. .
As for the children--I thought that's why they sold shock collars in bulk? Aaaand why I'll probably, hopefully, start at the middle school level where they're still easily manipulated and less likely to cry when I throw my baton at them.
I plan on using the same technique as I do for camp counselor stuff: a mixture of fear, obeisance and admiration. Oh and fun. I guess.

Hah!
Well, you sound like you'd be a good teacher. I just don't know how anybody can deal with the little vermin!
I even hated children when I was a child! (yes, I hated the way I acted as a child, when I was a child).
