Heather, I've watched all 17 seasons of ANTM (I know, pathetic) and you were the BEST model EVER!!!! I know this is a cliche, but you are a role model, really. Though she's been tested four times, by four different sources, and doesn't officially have Ausberger's or autism, my 10-year-old daughter has "symptoms that fall under the Autistic spectrum", including ADD. She is a smart, gorgeous child, and she is truly blessed with artistic talent. She is socially awkward, though. Hey, I was a goth (back then, in the '80s, we were called "mods") loner when I was a kid; people used to ask me, some genuinely curious and kind, if I worshipped Satan (I didn't--I kinda fell in love with Siouxsie Sioux, though). Even now, though I have decent social skills, I'd rather be alone or with my family.
Every time I notice your cycle being reran, I have to call my daughter so we can watch you together. Girl, you ROCK.
My little one really wants to show her art on this website, but I think she's a bit young for that now...from what I've seen.
Honestly, I think some aspects of ADD and Ausberger's can IMPROVE the artistic and creative processes, including modeling. You were great!

Heather have you ever thought of speaking too Tony Attwood famous aspergers psychologist and talking to him about your time on americas next top model. I think it could help to inspire alot of people especially aspie women. Tony works in Australia in the state of Queensland and Is in the states capital Brisbane. Hi, I am Chelsea. I am a huge fan of yours, and I thank you for spreading autism awareness in a more positive way. I am also a HFA girl that is into fashion, though I do do more designing than modeling.

Part of the reason I was bullied was because of the way I dressed, so I decided to give myself a makeover. Even though I refused to sacrifice other quirks to fit in, I decided I might as well change what does not mean that much to me. While shopping for nicer clothes, I became inspired by all the beautiful designs.

You are an inspiration to everyone... I never really paid much attention to ANTM, but when I started to watch the season you were in I was hooked and found myself watching every episode and rooting for you. Watching you fighting for your dreams was truly inspiring!

I'm a Portuguese 30 year-old teacher and am a mild Aspie myself, trying to be a singer.

Hello there! I was just watching the ANTM marathon and you were on! You were my favorite of all the seasons! Your look has always been one of my favorites and I am so glad you went for it!
My brother has asperger's and has always had trouble making/keeping friends, not to mention social skills. But you really inspired him to follow his dreams! He's in the army now, basic training.

My wife and I just wanted to thank you for your willingness to be apart of the ANTM. We are not fans of the show, but your storyline hit home with us. Our daughter has the same challenges that you have discussed on the show. Your challenges looked so familiar to the ones that our daughter faces today.
Tessa is eleven and does not completely understand all the issues that face her. My wife and I do not know as well, but you painted a picture for us that showed us how she could grow up to enjoy life and experience some incredible things, just like you. You provided us a hopeful glimpse of a world were Tessa can not just survive but thrive.
If you are similar to my daughter, the fact that I am focusing on this one issue bothers you. You have so many positive attributes, Asperger's is just one. But for my wife and I you painted a beautiful image of what individuals with Asperger can do. We just wanted to thank you.
Inspired by you I will be scanning some of Tessa's art into this site and will be posting the stories she has written by herself on the web. These stories follow the video game of Legend of Zelda; Twilight Princess. She uses the same characters from the game, at times even describing some of the sites in the game. It is a wonderful creative outlet for her. She does not like us to mention to our friends and family that she writes these stories and we are not sure why. My wife and I would like to thank you for showing us what Tessa is capable of experiencing and enjoying her life.
