Ah, before that we all thought that Energy Switch is gone when the new format starts (it wasn't in Japanese's EX Battle Boost). But turned out it was reprinted in Legendary Treasure lol

I don't use it with my deck. Mine has Darkrai EX, Plasma Absol, Sableye (love that little fella), and three Hydreigon lines. I find it is a really good deck especially with Scramble Switch because I can toss two items away and use it and get back a trainer supporter. Then just junk for it back and another item like laser.

A set up type of deck is still rather slow to me considering we can't T1 candy. High chance of you not getting Hydreigon out early game.

It's actually really easy for me to get hydreigon out. I have played with it many times and found I was able to get him out fairly easy. When I get more cards I want to take out the Zweilous to add more useful cards.

It is easy to get Hydreigon out. But the duration before you get one out, is crucial (at least for me).
I can't gurantee that I can bench a Hydreigon at 2nd turn every time, so running energy switch is more consistent (and versatile in a sense).

Well since Pokemon Catcher now requires a flip and no attacking on the first time it is much easier for Deino to survive. I also don't have to worry about one being sent out to be KOed so I can evolve him to Hydreigon more now. Plus I have found Absol can put quite the pressure on my opponent so I can get out Hydreigon without them attacking it.

Absol is definitely good, but not in early game though >v< (at least for me)
But may be hydreigon will be slightly better for the upcoming format, maybe~ since VirGen is sooooooo overrated now.
Better play something that can tag in fire

Well it's a dark deck so it will only have dark Pokemon and energy. Now my fire deck can easily annihilate it. It's based around Reshiram and Darmanitan which makes you regret doing damage to them. I also have Typhlosion for energy acceleration and to power them up.

I guess because I don't like modified or the fact there are "illegal" cards. I don't like it when TCGs do that which is why I like Vanguard and Yu-gi-oh more. I would rather have a few banned cards than entire sets.
