Another vector, whoo!This one has an interesting story. I actually had created an entire background for it, but decided at the last minute because it didn't mix well. I MAY upload it individually, I dunno.
Another thing, her camo is useless! LOL- you have a rainbow tail, dumby!

With her mouth- as this is obviously not too effective for swinging or doing any fancy tricks, it should work for taking out a victim with a quick stab and twist to the neck.

THANK YOU! I'm really glad someone noticed the thought that went into that- so here's an explanation...
I had actually been throwing around some ideas prior to this, as to how a Pony FPS could work. I divided weapons into three, distinct categories: Battle Saddles (weapons mounted on either side of the pony), Weapon Bracers (Guns latched onto the forearms of the pony), and open wielded firearms (Human guns- held in the telekinetic grasp of unicorns).
Battle Saddles would be fired from small devices lodged in the pony's mouth using either a wired connection, or utilizing "bluetooth" like technology to sense certain oral patterns. (Essentially, when their teeth are clenched- which is an impulse soldiers have anyways.) Larger saddles, like miniguns, would only be usable by Earth Ponies, due to their greater body strength.
Weapon Bracers (as pictured above) are fired from large, accessible triggers. You can't see it in this image, because of Dash's hoof placement. Primary weapons would be armed to their main hoof, (right-handed or left) and a sidearm could be strapped to the other. Larger Weapon Bracers, like Sniper Rifles, would use an internal gyroscope to detect when the weapon is aimed at a certain degree- which would be reached when the user looks down the sights/scope. This would move a second component to the side of the main weapon segment, forward and in front of said segment- creating one, long barrel.
OW firearms are the simplest; see the Operator pistol Twilight is wielding in my "Mare Gear Solid" image. Basically, our guns in pony hooves. At first glance, this seems un-fair for both Earth Ponies and Pegasi, but these guns have drawbacks. When a unicorn is holding an object in telekinesis, a clearly visible aura generates around it. This would be horrible for Unicorn snipers, as their positions would be given away. This magic is also limited- unicorns will probably not be able to carry LMG's with them.

You really went in depth with this. The detector in their mouth seems like a good idea, though I can't escape fearing accidents if a soldier gets angry, maybe a safty mode on the gun as well?
The retractable weapon parts makes me wonder how fast their reflexes could be ( how fast it connects, does it alsways connect or can it jam?), though for a sniper this shouldn't be a problem. I like the idea of larger guns on saddles, I can see Snowflake with double patriot missle launchers on his back in my head.
I thought you typed LGM at first, but I guess a support weapon could be too heavy or have too much recoild for a normal unicorn to keep focus on.
Keep it up, this is an awesome step forward in pony military developement.

As for the retracting part, they would probably have a lot of complications. It's just, ponies have such short arms, and while it might be ideal to fit an SMG or handgun in that short length, I just couldn't imagine rifles pulling it off. To make everything fair, they would probably be fully extended in about a second. (Assault Rifles, that is) While this may seem pretty unrealistic, it just wouldn't be right to have unicorns running around with all this quick, accurate, damaging bullcrap.
Battle Saddles do pack the most kick, like you brought up. I had thought of a kind of "equipment" type weapon class too, that would be loaded onto a pony's rump- or at least, those capable of handling the weight. These would include things like mortar cannons, AA guns, and maybe even Hellfire rockets. I thought it would be neat if these couldn't actually be reloaded by just the user, but instead required a buddy to load it from the back.

If you know somepony or a team who can program or work with gamemaking software such as Unity3D and modeling software such as blender3d, it could become reality.
There are already opensource models and props for pony G4 games and Equestria gaming has a lot of projects featured by the community.
I'm afraid that such a project would be a major task and cost a lot of time and effort to get it battle ready.
But I know the feel of WANT you have.
