As a former Kataang fan, I do not completely hate Kataang. However, as a current Zutara fan, I must say that Zutara would've been much better and that Zutara FTW! To those Kataang fans that think that our ship has sunk, you are horribly mistaken! NOTHING can sink this ship. Not even Tenzin, Bumi, and Kya! THE ZUTARA SHIP IS UNSINKABLE AND I WILL NEVER STOP BELIEVING!!!

I like to believe that since both Katara and Zuko are still alive in the Legend of Korra, that they will somehow meet and be a cute old couple and us Zutarians can finally find peace and die happy. This is assuming Mai is dead ofcourse.

Kataang is cute and all and I had a feeling it would be endgame...but I have to be honest...I would have preferred if Zutara happened instead. Kataang is sweet, but Zutara just called to me even before the first moment. I just thought her compassion and motherly nature next to his rashness, yet uncertainty and troubled past would compliment one another well. I thought they could balance one another very nicely. Kataang felt more...I dunno, close friendship and motherly relationship like? I knew it was more than that, but the vibe I got made it seem more forced in a way? ...at least to me, especially when Katara states she's unsure. When Zuko clasped Kats wrists and stated he'd "save her rrom the pirates" I lost myself in feels. I became hardcore shipper of them until the bitter end, even though I knew it was unlikely since Kataang and all...also Maiko, which is meh to me and felt a bit...random.Β

I always saw Aang as more of a little brother to Katara - he just seemed too immature for her, and up until the end his feelings weren't even reciprocated. Kat's "falling" for Aang wasn't natural, it was just the creator's way of giving the hero the prize of the girl. Aang didn't HAVE to marry someone from the Gaang, or anyone who had even appeared in the show. At least Kat and Zuko balanced each other. I just hope that some form of Zutara happens in the future.
