Awesome designs and art you have here. I'm guessing you're up for comment and criticism as well?
If that's the case, it just hit me right away that you should try to enforce the idea of him 'not talking' in his appearance as well as how he doesn't talk in the comic. Either by making his lips a bit smaller (not too small though, because that'll throw off his ethnicity), and mouth a bit smaller as if it hasn't grown much due to lack of exercise. 
It's just that at the moment, when I look at the face one of the first things I notice is his mouth because of the size of the lips, which is highly ironic because he may not even talk.
But that could be intentional for irony, or I'm probably just taking the "The Mute" part too seriously. Either way, awesome art.

The thickness of his forearms indicates the dexterity and strength of his hands. I'm guessing he uses sign language.
