You need to install this first.. then link the images into appropriate destination inside QTTabbar option..

Hey, I installed QTTbar Alpha 3 and really want to use this great skin, but after a log on, my explorer just behaves as normal.

Does it work on only alpha 1 and 2?

Also, I'm not sure what to do with the readme (sorry).

I'm running 7 x64.

zooldevil In reply to v1691 [2010-08-19 13:53:32 +0000 UTC]

I'm using Alpha 3 but in 7 x32.. Maybe omething is wrong with the settings or in terms of compatibility, try ask the developer.

v1691 In reply to zooldevil [2010-08-20 15:09:30 +0000 UTC]

I think I'll try that.

I've managed to get the toolbar to appear, but now its just an independent tab in each window, which isnt really helpful. Thanks anyway.

zooldevil In reply to v1691 [2010-08-20 15:20:09 +0000 UTC]

If you want to force each windows to be opened as tab, go to qttabbar option > windows > uncheck "Do not capture windows as a new tab......." then apply.

hi, i'm trying this but i can't set up like yours... i'm on a different theme but i guess that this is not important... i don't know if this is a bug or because im on a x64 system but this is what i get with your settings: [link]

zooldevil In reply to V3GAv3ga [2010-07-24 17:39:18 +0000 UTC]

Opsss.. Thank you for pointing it out! I messed up the names for the image, the "toolbar.png" supposed to be the tabbar image, and "tabbar.png" is the toolbar image. Sorry guys. I'll upload a new file to replace the name. Sorry for the inconvenience.

zooldevil In reply to V3GAv3ga [2010-07-25 11:26:27 +0000 UTC]

Hmm.. quite hard to match the folderband because of the gradient. Is it possible to modify the folderband so that it could match your theme?

LordReserei [2010-07-24 12:59:41 +0000 UTC]

Nice, I actually forgot about QTTabBar since it wouldn't work for me in Windows 7 when I switched to the RTM in September. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

zooldevil In reply to LordReserei [2010-07-24 13:17:43 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, me too. I installed it yesterday and immediately create new skin for it coz the skins on the internet won't work very well in Windows 7

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LordReserei In reply to zooldevil [2010-07-24 13:26:25 +0000 UTC]

Well thanks, I very much missed it as I used to use in XP and now can again...also using the VS.

userforusing [2010-07-24 10:32:21 +0000 UTC]

Is it possible to get the same look even without the windows theme?

I tried but I have some blank tiles in the tab-bar now

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

zooldevil In reply to userforusing [2010-07-24 10:38:26 +0000 UTC]

Yup. I tried on several VS and it works perfectly. Sometimes you need to reapply the VS to refresh the toolbar background. Here is my current setting for qttabbar: [link]

operationstack [2010-07-24 10:16:09 +0000 UTC]

yo, how do u get the selected tabs side border edges to actually come down and meet with your folderband? bc i always end up with a little gap there....

do u understand my question? i know i probably sound very confusing, its very late tonight/ early this morning

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

zooldevil In reply to operationstack [2010-07-24 10:39:59 +0000 UTC]

Check my appearance setting for qttabbar here [link] Its possible you got the wrong setting for margins.

CheshireWulf [2010-07-24 07:43:54 +0000 UTC]

This doesn't appear to be working for me. I've tried everything to install it, and yes, I've read the Readme for correct measurements.
