Description Zonefox's decision to constantly monitor the Scrap Brain Zone and to act as a scout to help others progress through it safely has resigned him to a lifetime within it's walls. Between the few travellers and Zonerunners that occasionally pass through, are days, sometimes even weeks, of uneventful solitude. The temptation to leave is overcome by the thought that he will save many lives by helping people through the deadly concrete and metal maze that was once Robotnik's main base of operations - so all he can do is wait, here in his voluntary prison, gazing out over the artificial landscape and smoke-filled skies....

Definately faithful to the original StH game. The colors used look almost exactly like the ones in the game. Bravo for not shortcutting in that department.

You know, I REALLY love that door above the ladder, that's my favourite part - it's the key thing that makes you realise - there's more than what the camera is focusing on, it give you the impression, the landscape is endless and that there's a wealth of corridors and passageways - that exist - but haven't been drawn here. Kind of reminds me of ICO - you know what I mean? Also love the "lingering" history the image gives - this was once the base of operations, but no more, that was a long time ago.

Thanks for the comment Kroc. I like to twist the old games into sonic 'history', it's fun to go back to old locations like the Scrap Brain in art and fiction. So many fans are younger nowadays and the original '91 stuff seems to be largely forgoten in the fandom.

You know... I really REALLY envy your skill at drawing backgrounds >.o And angles. I can't draw either to save my life.

Nice backstory. Poor guy o_o Unless he's one of those guys who likes being solitary or something.

I'd say Jen is more a social creature than a loner, so the lonely lifestyle is a big committment for him. He misses Dee a lot, if nothing else (She's amongst my artwork on DA somewhere - looks like a slightly overweight Sally Acorn with sensible hair, hee hee).

Thanks for the comments!

I really like this, the feel and look of the Scrap Brain Zone has been shown very well here, and the positioning is very good as well.
