Great job capturing a great-looking character from an old, almost-classic film.

um..just my honest comment. feel free to ignore.
The right quadriceps and calf looks wasted. even at this angle it would be broader than what is drawn.
Peering closely at the right thigh, i think the impression is created because the line between the quadriceps femoris and the adductor is a bit too lateral(ie too high and right) moving it to reduce the bulk of her back/side thigh muscle would retain the overall size of her thigh and redistribute the muscle bulk from back/inner side
of thigh to the quads infront.
The face is a bit too square and manlike.
I think it's because the cheek bones are too far apart. If you push them closer and than draw the head chape, you'd get a clear ovoid shape that is proportional with the body. Otherwise it looks like a woman in her forties with a 20year old body.
Other than that the background and shading as others have commented are excellent.
I also like th shading & detail on the left knee.
Understand you didn't have much time but these are 2 glaring flaws to me in an otherwise fantastic pic of Raquel. And I know anatomy at a glance. Amazing you finished it in just 3 -4 hrs.
Otherwise 4stars.
Artistic

thank you very much for the honest comment. i went back and compared the origional image with my sketch and would have to agree that when i drew it the legs did seam (odd). however that is how they appear. their are four images that i know of , that are of this basic pose. you can tell that she is placing most of her wait on different legs but the difference is not that obvious. if you look up (image) 1 million years bc on line you will find the movie poster images i used. with her head i agree the jaw seams more square, but this is do to the angel of the jaw. in the images i mentioned the jaw line is shaded but it can be seen when inlarged. i chose not to shade that area as dark. raquels head is what is considered a box not an oval shape as you suggest and i have never heared of the shape of a persons head being proportional to a body. i must agree with you that she apears older in my drawing. that is as i feel do to the fact that i over worked the paper and i lost the ability to blend half way decent. thank you very much for your comments. if you could look at the poster images i would love to hear if you still feel the same way. thanks again

Well I was just looking at this wonderful drawing again and saw my comment, read yours and noticed for some reason I did not reply...I have a tendency to let my messages get out of control sometimes...as I was just reading you do too heh heh. SO I probably deleted without meaning to...anyway, better really late than never I guess. I do like stars portraits alright. I still like deviant the best, but stars portaits seems to get more interraction than say...artwanted, which really just pretty much bums me out, that's a crappy site.
I know what you mean man, the messaging here can really get to be a chore at times, I have gotten really bad about just responding to comments where someone asks me a direct question or has something interesting to talk about...and delete the rest. Which isn't a good system I am certainly appreciative anyone takes the time to comment or watch, I guess I have just gotten extremely lazy about it all.

another stunning work from you, no less than I would expect now that I have been watching you for a while. It isn't as detailed as alot of your pieces but still amazes me, but of course I don't draw people. makes me want to get my drawing pencils out again, it's been a while for me.
