Though, I will say we're not as endangered as you might think. We nerd girls are out there... we're just even more reclusive than nerd boys.
Call it reflex.
Gone are the days when I would literally be chased out of comic book shops and video game stores... but the memories live on.
The worst of it, for me? The irritating masses of flesh that smell of meat gone bad demanding to know "which boyfriend got you into gaming/comic books?"
You know which boyfriend got me into gaming, you sorry sack of diseased rat leavings? Link. And even though he runs around in what could double as a short dress and hangs out with fairies, he's 10 times the man you'll ever be.
My uncle got me into comic books, though. BIG X-Men fan. Taught me how to properly care for my comics.
So, if you ever meet a nerd girl in person, just be yourself; we don't bite. Unless you ask us nicely. ;}

Seriously, you thought I was doing something other than asking for clarification?
You spend way too much time on forums if you took that as an attack on spelling or grammar or whatever.
I've seen semester-long, University courses on scrap-booking and how to properly set a table, (I swear, I wish I was joking); so at this point, nothing would surprise me.
