Description
This is CariDee, she was the winner on last season's America's Next Top Model. I was so happy she won, I love this girl.
I drew this with pencils ranging from 6b-4h. I like how it turned out except for the fact that it looks more like Angelina Jolie then CariDee, at least to me it does. xD; Ummm oh yeah, it may look familiar because my reference was a picture from her photo shoot for one of her prizes which was a six page spread in Seventeen. Here is my bad quality scan of it.[link]

I'm still working on my pencil art so please do not hesitate to give me some tips if you know a thing or two on the subject. I would especially like tips on her hair and lips because I know those parts look really sloppy.

Wow, great pic of Cari. I loved this girl too, she was my favorite next to AJ. hmm I love her skin and her eyes, only thing that could be worked on a bit more is her hair, I think you should add more shading and detail into it to make it look Dynamic, her face looks so round yet the hair falls a bit flat. other than that you did a great job with Caridee. I like it.

Wow... I love this. I am blown away by this. I could write a paragraph about how much I love this. Wow.. I think I will. First off its a wonderful thing to see someone do a work like this in pencil, sometimes it seems like graphite is a dying medium, sad because its one of my favorites. You lend Cari so much depth, to the planes of her face, the ridge of her nose, the liquid beauty of her eyes. (I admist I never watched ANTM though so I have never seen the reference) BUT.... this is a true work of not just art but Beauty nonetheless, your use of shading is devasting in its effectiveness, like the bait luring the eye to learn, read, experience more of what was in your head and expressed through your hand. Even down to the pupils which seem like endless fluid oceans of intent. I look at this and I want to write a story about it. I can almost hear the words of the model in my head as I look over and over and over it. Uhm ... I meant paragraph ... not BOOK... but DAMN this is the kind of work that it is rare ... and needs to be seriously recognize for what it is. Art, in every sense of the word.

Her eyelashes and eyes look really good. :] I'm really bad with hair too and I... don't even draw lips, so I can't really help you there.
