I highly recommend reading the Manga!
I very much dislike the way the anime was adapted (especially the English, good God). It does not by any means live up to how good the manga was. In fact I think it gives it a bad name.
This is just my opinion of course.
I did enjoy watching the characters in action, having already read the manga but I was mostly disappointed.
I refer anyone interested in Air Gear to read the manga. Definitely.
