As so often before, my favorite The Dark Eye charachter captain Asleif Phileasson.On his ship this time. And it's stormy.

Wenn's wirklich Sturm wäre, würde er wahrscheinlich auch nicht mehr auf der Reling sitzen xD
Das mit den Haaren war keine Absicht... Aber man kann durchaus argumentieren, dass sie diesmal enger geflochten sind, der Zopf dadurch kürzer und dicker wirkt.

The direction and composition of the waves gives the viewer the feeling of great motion and power of the sea. Possibly a little more sweep in the shape of clouds in the direction the wind is blowing would give the sky a bit more stormy effect. That is really not all that important over all. It would just add a little additional drama and interest to the atmosphere of the storm.
The choice of the colors you used in it gives the impression of great depth and bring the character up close and personal to the viewer.
The entire color scheme is beautifully harmonic and gives the entire drawing great unity.
The texture and folds of his clothing are extremely well done and so very realistic. Love the texture and the method you used to depict the fur cape. You can just feel the softness of it visually so that the viewer knows without touching it what it would feel like.
Anatomy is perfect as always. Beautiful blending of the skin tones in the face and neck. I would suggest just a touch more blending on the arms. but that is very minor and hardly noticeable.
Facial expression captures the feeling of concern and concentration that one would feel if caught on the sea in a storm like this.
I feel you have created a very dramatic, very skilled and beautifully done portrait of this character.

A heartbreaker he is indeed. There have been serious incidents among the female characters of the "adventurer's Group", including attempted murder, in the strife for his attentions.
I am currently trying to improve the shading of this. I will also see, what I can do about the clouds. I wasn't pleased with them either (I hate Backgrounds, did I ever mention that?), but I didn't know what to do about it. I will try to follow your advice and give them some sense of direction.

Attempted murder? Wow, that sounds like a real bitchfight. But well, his charisma score of 16 has to count for something. *imagines Asleif running from a whole crowd of screaming fangirls*

Yes it was a real bitchfight. One of the female characters was played by a guy tough, with outstanding acting abilities, which made it absolutely hilarious. She (he) gave me tea to drink, mixed with pus of the sick "Nivesen" in the third adventure, in order to make me sick as well. Worked pretty well, unfortunately.

My character survived yes. We had a magician in our group and she healed me on a dayly basis, so I was never in any strong danger.
He was kind of interested in both, at least when we weren't bitching at each other, but eventually I kind of won. (there's a reason this is my favourite character.)
The guy who played the other woman eventually left our group because unfortunately he didn't have time to play anymore. Real pitty, that was the funniest time playing DSA ever!

(I hate backgrounds too) I think you did a wonderful job on this one. The clouds were just nit picky and just a suggestion to add a little motion to the background. They did not detract from the drawing in any way. I really love all the drawings you have done of this character. !!!!!!

Well done. Got him on point this time.
I'm gonna be nitpicky again, but there are only points you can perfect easily this time:
-The left of his face needs more colour. (if you cover everything else, he looks like an albino)
-His tophair too. (just like the right side hair, that is perfect) Only small highlights should be this bright at most, and it seems like a rather cloudy day anyway, so no strong directional light this time.
-And the bottom right of the nose needs more stadow.

The facial part is definitely much better.
I would still make the shadow under his nose darker, aswell as the shadow under his beard on the throat. I don't see why you put that brighter line there.
I'd also darken the hair on the left and on the upper half of the top more, but keep a thin outline bright, just like it is on the right.
Also I'd make the ear better distinguishable, as well as the left of the lower lip. (again with little shadows)
With all that, there should be better contrast, and the picture would be easier to read.
I noticed on your last drawing too, you tend to make the shadows on the sides of the forehead a bit dark. It's not that bad, but for those few loose streaks
of hair, it is a bit strong a shadow.
