That's a picture with nice action in it, and the 'light' seems very profesional, This is really worth a fav

cheers on the picture. i really love the idea of one model being in all the roles yet bringing such diversity to the image. awsome work.

Tuan is it ok to ask you about the lighting gear you used in this shoot? in order to learn how to light more efficiently i would like to know what equipment you used and how you set it up. it would mean a whole lot to me and i am sure to many interested fans like me.

Thanks. This was a random shoot.

As for lighting brand I used Alienbees at the time. Three lights, each on the side and a fill light in the front. Simple, basic set-up. Hope that helps.

thank you for answering. right now i am working with a strobe and a continuous light lamp (450W) and am exploring my possibilities with the given camera, lens and light setup to create the looks i want and need without stacking up too much gear. and i guess a three lights setup is the way to go for me too as i am pretty much getting exactly what i need and want from the 2-light setup but some scenes require more plasticity so i am looking to stock up on additional light. also in the winter we have very little light so my main lightsource (the sun) is out of the equasion therefore i need something to replace it... thinking about elinchrom strobes but even the basic kits are way over my budget right now.

If you want to put emphasis on things then light it up. Usually if you have one good strobe, and some natural lights or continuous ones can work wonders. More importantly it is in the concept rather the light. With the required effect it can enhance the image, yet you gotta give a reason for the viewer to pay attention to the image, bring them inside the world within the picture frame, what is it that you're trying to say visually is much more important.

Go with Alienbees if you are on a budget.

It's funny, but sad at the same time--I feel bad for the flower collector.

No saying I completly disagree with you, but flowers are best when they are on the stem from which they've grown...

I have to admit, when I first glaced at the picture my first thought was confusion you deffinitaly havta put yourself in the "world within the picture frame" to truly have a chance at understanding.

All n' All, I love the fact that you can see the personalities out of each person in the shot.

LOL I really love the action in this. For some reason, the one pointing makes me think he's saying something like, YOU FLOWER!! You're going DOWN!
