Watercolor and micron pen on cold press paper with some contrast in PS. Just kind of an abstraction of myself. (I would even go so far as to call it a self-portrait.) I'm planning for this scene to play a role in my book too.

And nope, it's not any kind of amusement park equipment, though I can see why you might think that. I like blending the whimsical with the structural, and that combination almost inevitably ends up having that vibe.

This one took longer than any of the others I made this Fall. This is because I started with a rather mechanical line drawing using micron pen, which I based on a 2D/3D mockup I made beforehand. Then I built it up in thin watercolor layers, and finally finished it with contrast adjustment in PS.

This is one of the few pieces that I think looked rather similar to what I had in my head.
