I felt so sorry for him in the beginning, and I cried when they couldn't reach him before the akatsuki removed shakaku (my spelling of that is probably atrocious) and he died... But yay for lady chiyo bringing him back around! She died for a good cause, not just for fangirl kind but the village hidden in the sand needs it's kage

Yes, I got way upset, too. (plus, his death was so slow... It was similar to watching him drown while he's still conscious... *sad*) Oh, and it's called Shukaku. ^^
Yeah, she also saved Kishimoto-sensei from some major fangirl rioting, or his office being bombarded with angry mail. She was great for the bit she was there; funny when the time called for it, and serious when she needed to be.

I fully agree, I found her fight with sasori really emotional. I can't imagine how she felt having to kill the grandchild she loved so much.

To be honest, after the whole 'Dream Land' thing began, I was just waiting for it to end. The final team-up and plot-twist left a lot to be desired, considering this is the same man who tugged at my heartstrings with characters like little Haku, and Gaara's tears. He didn't even grant me my wish, and let him have a moment with his mother, like he did with Naruto. He had two opportunities, and he didn't use them. Ggh...!
Still, I have Gaara's new story to look forward to in April. I can't wait.

That is true, he even got to fight his dad (and it's a good thing he's already dead because I'm positive that if gaara hasn't beat him the fanbase would)

Heh, possibly. At least he had enough decency to tell Gaara the truth about his past, even though how he went about things with him and Yashamaru was 100% wrong. I really admired Gaara for giving him his forgiveness, and how he said he got medicine from him for the first time. Ah, what a guy.
Even though it wasn't done in the manga, I am hoping something will happen in the anime. Even a few minutes would be nice, but let him have it! If a character deserves to have a moment with his mother, that's Gaara.

Kazekage Gaara is my favourite and the clothes he's wearing are my favourite but there's one problem (not with the picture) with Gaara's clothes "They make him look fat".
