Many thanks to Nate for this photo and Bria of for doing the braids for me once again!
This is a set of photos featuring the newly upgraded armor. I changed the scales on the back and shoulders from fabric to handpainted Worbla scales, painted/built up some of the edges of the snakeskin parts of the armor, added the lace up to the front of the top shoulder piece and finally got to crawl around in some dirt (and water and branches and rocks) instead of posing at a hotel at a con! ;D
Tenel Ka is my favorite fictional character and I absolutely love making outfits of hers; ones in official images, ones based off of text descriptions or fanart and also original ideas! I have some more Queen Mother ideas floating around in my head so those are up next!

I'm guessing this is prior to her losing her forearm or a retcon where tou've replaced her limb. Either way, kickass Jedi!

Thank you so much! Yeah, I modified a saber from Ultrasabers.com into her rancor tooth lightsaber but I didn't bring it on this photoshoot cause I wanted to make sure I didn't drop it/break it in the creek (hehe) and I also figured since I didn't have the saber with me I could keep both arms out and be pre-accident/pre-Lightsabers Tenel Ka! I've done some Queen Mother Tenel Ka outfits and always try to find ways to hide my arm behind my back for those. ;D

I'd have to say Tenel Ka is one of my favorites of the females of the later Star Wars sagas. She's very well-to-do, and can handle herself in a fight. Plus, she's the first Jedi to be a Queen Mother. Unless you count her mother Teneniel Djo as the first Force-using witch as the Queen Mother.

I liked Tenel Ka. I have an illustration of her on my Pinterest account. It's from the Star Wars Essential Atlas. She's also the mother of Allana with Jacen Solo. I hope one of the future Star Wars films does a similar character to Tenel Ka. As much as I'd like to see a new Star Wars movie, I don't think they should overlook, much less discard the old Expanded Universe, now called Legends.
