After the Dressage, Philippe had been looking around for the remainder of the morning for some bit he could not find, up until the point
that even Freyja had started to think h had rather lost his mind than a piece of iron. When she asked why he needed the other bit, when his usual
one was actually just fine, he mumbled something about 'overly spirited' and 'trying to run away'. Not that it made any sence. Perhaps
even less than the behaviour of the rider who was acting like an idiot. In the end, he found his bit and could enter the cross country later on the day.
While competing, the rain turned from bad to worse and both horse and rider got soaked. Hidde under an umbrella, both Freyja and Matthew were
watching the performance untill they got to one of the water obstacles. They were both happy that they didn't have to ride in this weather.
But both were wondering: why did Philippe needed another bit, to have more control, when it was clear that he wasn't even putting any effort in holding the
chestnut stallion back? Perhaps he wanted to get this cross over and done with, before he was really soaked to the bone? They just concluded that
sometimes, people behaved in the strangest of ways and that it was better not to question them.
