Goth music and culture varies greatly in concept

Musically Goth consists of bands such as Bauhaus, The Cure, Alien Sex Fiend, Sex Gang Children, The Sisters Of Mercy, Cinema Strange, Christian Death, Eat Your Makeup etc etc

Goth heavily revolves aroiund finding beauty in dark places that most people tend to stray away from out of fear or disgust.

Technically, even though I was obviously being satirical, considering the two cultures as entirely different isn't true. There are genres like Black metal which are concerned about the same exact sort of topics that Goth culture revolves around. Lots of them even dress the same.

I think the only idiot in this situation is the one who found a comment chain that's nearly a year old and thought that their opinion weighed enough to throw in, even in the face of obvious bait.
