Did you draw those spirals and patterns by hand, or are they a texture? I'm not asking to in some way incriminate you, I just don't want to look like an ass commending you for painstaking work that was made using a texture. (I don't know much about digital- or traditional- art, so I felt the need to check.)
If you did draw the spirals and details, wow. I especially like how they resemble furled ferns in some places, and that sun's rays are just too cool. The puzzle pieces of the cat creature which contain the other designs are very neat, too, even if they're not immediately apparent.
All in all, the swirls are pretty awesome and it looks quite cute!

I believe that someday I won't have the computer next to me so I can draw stuff on it, and I'll have the urgent need to draw and paint stuff, and I'm not going to be able to look for swirl textures. I try to do as much as I can by hand so I won't be so useless when I'll have to face traditional art seriously.
What I didn't take into consideration is that there won't be ctrl+z, ugh.

Ctrl+z's mercy approaches that achieved by most candidates for sainthood, if you ask me. I don't really do much in the way of digital art, obviously, but knowing that I can fall back on a solution that doesn't involve drowning everything in correction fluid and swearing is a comfort. I think it's good not to rely too much on digital art's perceived shortcuts, but using the tools you have available to you is also important.
I don't think you're lazy at all; many artists seem married to gradients or screen tones. So don't worry, I'm not staging an intervention for any texture dependency of yours anytime soon.
I'm just pretty stoked by how intricately you design things. That's a pretty bit of commitment. I couldn't be trusted with details like that.
