In anticipation of Transformers Armada: THE COMPLETE SERIES being released today, I had to do some more Armada Starscream art! Been down lately, from many different kinds of things... so this was good medicine for me.

On March 1st we had some more rain, HEAVY RAIN pouring, finally (seriously we're STARVING of STORMS here in SoCal) and I was itching to draw something during the storm. I decided, why not Armada Screamy again? He's the reason I wanted to start watching TF Armada in the first place.

I've only seen up to episode 30 on YouTube before it became unavailable a couple of months ago, so when I saw that the formerly out-of-print Transformers series was now available in its entirety, for a much better price at that... I had to pre-order it. Now I'll be able to see the rest of it!!!

Went crazy the past few days just coloring the frag OUTTA this. And I decided to finally start giving my art some frickin' LINES, starting with my first drawing of Armada Starscream. I'm taking a break somewhat from painting too, as much as I love blending the colors for shading and such with the Oil Paint tool in ArtRage. Coloring it this way is much faster and way easier on my hands with the trackpad.

Of course, I've used a reference for this, because it helps me a lot and that's how I do these things... But I gave his eyes a sexy squint this time, and also changed how his mouth looked from the screen shot. Softening the edges also gave this whole thing a dreamy air, so I went with that too, kehehe.

There you have it... a Dreamy Screamy! I hope to do more of these, of other Transformers perhaps.

Don't worry, I'll still be working on Mega Man X art in the meantime. ^~^

Done in pencil on sketchbook paper first, then scanned for coloring.
