Very true. A while back I watched a documentary about what makes a good villain. The video said that a good villain is someone who has similar goals or a similar experience to the hero. So that the hero can look at the villain and realize, "Gee, if I'm not careful...I could become like them." The only reason one of them is good and the other bad is because of what they did with their experiences. What their morals were.
I really want to do that with the Forgotten, but....it's hard!
