YOU COULD ALWAYS JUST MAKE UP STUFF.

Outside of the Slylandro, I don't think we ever plainly see what two defined genders look like side by side (and even then those gas bags were being really ambiguous...)

I got a clue from the problem I was having with the Yehat. The two Yehats in the comm screen picture have very different anatomies on the head and arms/wings. Hopefully because they're aliens, the sexual difference explanation would be enough.
