Two Japans? Whut?!Ok, so this picture is probably inaccurate on so many levels. There wasn't a clear reference for the black uniform so I kinda made it up as I went along. These were sorta hastily done, I'm not too proud of 'em but . . . whatever.
(I believe the black uniform is from ww2, if someone knows do tell me.)
UPDATE! Well the white one has been used mostly in the anime around WW2
but the black one is used in the comics for WW2 as well
the black one also showed up in the Sino-Japanese wars.

While it is truely best to use the information given from the actual anime/manga, many fans (myself and friends included) believe that "black Kiku" is basically Japan's dark side. Some go so far as to say it is a split personality.

Yeah that's what I thought too, Black Japan to me is like when Japan is in a war doing scary things for the sake of the country. White Japan is like when he's around Italy and Germany and they're having crazy slapstick adventures. As far as a split personality? I'm not sure, I don't really want to make this some deep thing. But thank you for your input, it's helpful to here what others have to say~
