on a more positive note, I love that SOMEONE finally put the deviantART logo on the shirt.

I immediately went over the guidelines soon as I read this and I didn't find anything which says celebrity names can't be included.
However, I do think the names I included in the design weren't just celebrities.
I thought they are household names and somehow "legends" of the music industry.
I do appreciate your comment. Thank you!

"May not contain the name and likeness of another person unless he or she will and can sign an appropriate release for the unconditional use of his or her name and likeness"
It is a fact that many music artist's names are not their birthnames and are trademarked. I'm pretty sure that Miley Cyrus or Stevie Wonder would not appreciate someone selling shirts with their names on them. Better safe than sorry, I would hate to see your shirts disqualified yo. If you are REALLY attached to the design as it is, I suggest you at least try to contact someone from deviantART and clear it with them.

Sorry, it's my error.
The front page of the "musically inspired design challenge" states that we can use notes, instruments or musicians so I thought putting names is ok. I must have mistaken that rule for another meaning just for the sake of materializing my design concept.
Thank you. Really.

No problem man, and like I mentioned before, the design is really great, just to be sure I would try to contact someone at deviantART to make sure. Best of luck to you in the contest my good man.

Thanks.
I might just replace the names with some other thing. ^^

May I suggest instruments or words like "bass", "treble", "cleft"? I don't really know what that category of words is called. And I'm glad to help, I will be sure to vote for you when voting opens.
