Compared to clamp? Hm... Maybe the cutesy sort of way the face is drawn... Well, sometimes they draw like that... Sort of...
Although Clamp draws extremely long people with stick legs >.> I guess people just see one bit that reminds them of clamp, and convince themselves that it does look like the same style. The more I look at it, the more I disagree though. Clamp tries to make all their characters look like model drawings, ro something.

Don't let it get to you. It's natural for artists. I have an art block too. =__=; I swear, they're soooo annoying. I bid you good luck on trying to change your style and not-being-compared by Clamp. Maybe you should try to reduce the details?? I dunno. I'm not much help. Sorry.

I always get inspiration from other artists/game/manga, and really, it doesn't help. Many still tell me whatever I draw looks like Clamp. I gave up figuring why my art even remind them of Clamp.

I always try to draw Shonen style. My arts are majorly influenced by many shonen mangaka. In particular Eyeshield, One Piece, Hikaru no Go, Captain Tsubasa, Air Gear, Tekken Chimni, list goes on. Look even this picture is based on One Piece, [link] and yet I still got people telling me it's Sakura and her happy friends.
Ok, I am tired to even argue on this. I don't believe my arts look like Clamp. Perhaps I am blind or something.

I like this, and as for the artist block, try exploring other art you never thought you'd get into. Or a different kind of music, environment, stories, etc. I really love your stuff and hope you find a muse soon

I am having a block because I keep on trying to draw something that I am not good at. I hate getting compared to Clamp, so I had been trying to change my style, and truthfully speaking I don't even know why I was compared at the first place, so I am very lost. I ended up hating everything I draw.

ahh I see. Don't let what other people say get you down, because your art is wonderful and I don't think it looks anything like Clamp. I think when you try to draw in a way you dont usually draw and you try to make it like someone's else, you wont like it because it's not like what the other art is. Just keep doing YOUR thing. It seems to be working wonders for you.

But if I keep on drawing the same style, I will never be able to get away from the painful comparison with Clamp, which happened to be my most hated group of manga artist. I am tired hearing the comparison, and I don't even know why I am compared. lllOrz
