I have used Julia as far as I remember but I think I forgot what it did. May be I need to make a few fractals tomorrow to make me remember all that stuff.
My sister recycledrelatives helped me a lot in getting running with Mendelbulb, check her gallery. She also has some fractals with formulas too. Those might be helpful.

Yes she is very good, but I like to make my own stuff
without using other people work. I did some tutorials,
now I'm looking through all the formulas to see what
they can offer. My computer has a slow processor
so I have to be careful.

Okay, I can understand that. If you learn by yourself, you will make many unique things.
Don't worry about processor, try out formulas in low quality, when you feel like you wanna render for the final time, let it run the whole night.

It's only over a week when I started to use the Mandelbulb,
so I have to get use to it moods...........colors, and final rendering
of the image. It's all try and error, but I don't think I would
have a stamina to wait all night for the final render....omg
