Description I've been very interested in the Apple GUI for a while now, and I've searched and searched for one that has all of the elements that I want in a mac skin, but I've never found one single skin with every aspect that I want in it.

This is my reworked version of the Mac OS X Leopard skin.
I'm still in the process of touching up, adding new elements, and even changing it as I go.

Note: The rocketdock skin shown above is not of my own design, it belongs to Stinky9

*Released*
Version 1.3 Beta
Version 1.4 Beta
UPDATE:Version 2.0 Beta
(Download on this page)

Version Notes: Add new scrollbars, buttons, checkboxes, radio buttons, changed a couple of system colors. (I'm pobably going to redo the checkboxes/radio buttons)

Enjoy

Sorry for the double post but I thought I'd share a few specifics on what elements are missing/incorrect from the top Leopard skins here at DA.

*Incorrect window/menu textures (eg: Pinstripes)

* Incorrect theme colors (eg: loading bars, headers and radio buttons)

* Incorrect hover colors/textures on menus and taskbar

* No Winroll button

* No pulse on buttons

* No icon centered on window titlebar

I see you're trying to create a WB skin that correctly resembles Leopard. I'm really looking forward to this seeing as all of the "Leopard" skins I've come across are missing various important elements. Weather it's misshaped buttons, no winroll, no pulse or incorrect colors, not one theme out there has all the correct elements. Good luck! I'll be waiting anxiously...

I don't necessarily agree that there are no skins that do the original Mac style any justice but it WILL always be good to have other interpretations and see what you come up with.

I suggest you push Snow Leopard with the slight GUI changes that brought about and then it will be 100% current.

Good luck

Your absolutely right on that, I probably shouldn't have worded it like I did. but it is hard to find a single leopard skin that has all of the right elements.

I have searched all of deviantart and I have only come across a couple that are decent, but I still had to download about 5 different ones to modify one of them to be consistent with the elements. Someone suggested that Leopard Glass by neodesktop, which is very good, but I noticed a lot of mismatched or missing elements.

I know its not an easy endeavor, as there are a lot of restrictions in the XP GUI, as well as the differences in elements, such as task bands and the start menu. But I'm determined.

My goal is to create a consistent Leopard skin for windows XP that is completely functional and doesn't need simulated effects to compliment it as far as Windowblinds goes.

A few questions about the final release :

1.How are you going to make the FinderXer look like in your wip
2.Will the shadows be as large as the original
And until you actualy release the skin make sure you use the "Desktop Screenshot" category,other than that it looks preety awesome.

The final release probably won't have the accurate findeXer look for the Mac style unfortunately, as I have done a lot of research and there doesn't seem to be any way without knowing c++, etc.

As far as the shadows go, they will be as accurate as I can make them

btw, I just released the beta version.
